Who should take Observability Foundation training in Spain?

Is the Observability Foundation certification worth it?

Yes. Observability skills are in short supply in Spain, and the credential maps to well-paid roles such as SRE, DevOps, platform and observability engineer. SRE and platform roles average around 60,000 to 62,000 EUR, with senior SRE near 79,000 EUR. Request a quote to start.

Who offers the Observability Foundation certification?

The certification is offered by the DevOps Institute (PeopleCert), a global professional association for DevOps and SRE practitioners. Invensis Learning is an authorized training provider delivering the aligned course.

Are there prerequisites for Observability Foundation?

No. There are no formal prerequisites and the certification is open to all. Familiarity with DevOps concepts or IT operations is helpful but not required, so the course works for both newcomers and experienced engineers.

What is the format of the Observability Foundation exam?

The OBSF exam is an open-book, single-answer multiple-choice test. It is delivered online with PeopleCert proctoring or at an authorised test centre, and covers the topics in the Observability Foundation Exam Blueprint.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The exam has 40 questions and a 60-minute (one hour) time limit. It is open book with single-answer multiple-choice questions, so time management is part of the preparation.

What is the passing score for the exam?

You need 65% to pass, which means answering at least 26 of the 40 questions correctly. Our practice questions and mock exams help you build the confidence to reach that mark.

What if I do not pass the first time?

You can re-sit the exam; the DevOps Institute re-sit policy applies, so confirm current terms when you register. Our trainers provide first-attempt guidance, practice questions and mock exams to help you prepare thoroughly and reduce the chance of a retake.

Which standard is the exam based on?

The exam is based on the current Observability Foundation Exam Blueprint (Body of Knowledge) published by the DevOps Institute. It covers observability principles, the three pillars, SLIs, SLOs, OpenTelemetry, alerting and incident response.

What topics does the training cover?

The course covers observability principles and the three pillars, metrics, logs and distributed tracing, SLIs, SLOs, SLAs and error budgets, OpenTelemetry and telemetry pipelines, alerting strategy and incident response, and observability for SRE and AIOps.

What will I learn about the three pillars of observability?

You learn how metrics, logs and distributed traces each reveal system behaviour and how to correlate them for root-cause analysis. The course covers counters, gauges and histograms, structured logging, and spans and trace context.

Do I need coding experience to take this course?

No deep coding is required. This is a foundation-level, concept-focused course, so basic familiarity with IT systems and DevOps ideas is enough. Beginners and experienced engineers both benefit from the structured content and hands-on examples.

Is the courseware aligned with the latest syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current DevOps Institute Observability Foundation Exam Blueprint and Body of Knowledge, so you study the concepts, terminology and topics the exam actually tests.

Are practice tests and materials included?

Yes. The programme includes DevOps Institute aligned courseware, case studies, topic practice questions and full mock exams mapped to the 40-question OBSF format to help you identify weak areas and build readiness.
