    The IASSC Yellow Belt exam is closed book with multiple-choice and true or false questions, drawn from the five DMAIC phases. It is delivered through online proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

    How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 60 questions and a two-hour allotted time. Some forms include up to 6 additional unscored pretest questions that do not count toward your result.

    What is the passing score for the Yellow Belt exam?

    You need a minimum of 230 out of 300 points to pass. Questions are spread roughly evenly across the Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control phases, so aim for broad understanding of all five.
