    How does the Foundation exam differ from Practitioner?

    Foundation tests knowledge and comprehension across 14 topic areas with single-answer questions. Practitioner tests application across 7 topic areas with scenario-based questions. Both are 40 questions in 60 minutes.

    Course Content

    What topics does the course cover?

    It covers the Foundation syllabus of business analysis concepts, investigation, stakeholder, process modelling, requirements and business case, and the Practitioner syllabus applying those techniques in scenarios, all aligned to the BCS BoK.

    Can a beginner take this course?

    Yes. The Foundation level has no prerequisites and starts from core concepts, so beginners and those from IT, project or product roles can follow it. The training then builds up to Practitioner-level application.

    What learning materials are provided?

    You receive EXIN BCS-aligned courseware for both levels, industry-driven case studies, and practice questions and mock exams for the Foundation and Practitioner exams.

    Are there practical exercises?

    Yes. The Practitioner level is scenario-based, so the training uses realistic case studies and exercises in investigation, modelling, stakeholder analysis and business case development.

    Is the courseware up to date?

    Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current EXIN BCS Foundation and Practitioner Examination Specifications and the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge.
