What Is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner Certification?UntitledYour Route to Leading Change

The Change Management Foundation and Practitioner (CM-F&P) certification validates your ability to lead the people and culture side of organisational change, from understanding how individuals respond to change through to applying proven models on live transformation programmes. This combined Change Management certification training in the Maldives takes you through both levels end to end, so you leave ready to sit the Foundation and Practitioner exams. The programme is aligned to the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) maintained by the Change Management Institute, and to the current Change Management Practitioner Guide and the Foundation and Practitioner syllabi. You build fluency in the models employers rely on, including ADKAR, Bridges' Transition Model, Lewin's three-step model, Kotter's 8-step model, McKinsey 7-S and Schein's culture model. As the Maldives accelerates its Maldives 2.0 digital agenda, public sector reform and workforce restructuring across tourism, banking and telecoms, professionals who can guide people through change are in growing demand. Delivered in live virtual and corporate formats by experienced trainers, this training gives you a globally respected change credential and a clear, supported path from study to certified with Invensis Learning.

It is a combined, two-level change management qualification. Foundation validates your knowledge of change concepts and models, while Practitioner validates your ability to apply them to real organisational change scenarios. It is aligned to the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) maintained by the Change Management Institute.

    General

What is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification?

It is a combined, two-level change management qualification. Foundation validates your knowledge of change concepts and models, while Practitioner validates your ability to apply them to real organisational change scenarios. It is aligned to the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) maintained by the Change Management Institute.

Who should take Change Management certification training?

It suits change managers, project managers, HR and OD practitioners, transformation leads and senior sponsors who want to lead the people side of change. In the Maldives it is especially relevant to those working on digital, public sector and organisational change programmes.

Is Change Management certification recognised in the Maldives?

Yes. It is an internationally respected change credential valued by employers across the Maldives and worldwide, including in tourism, banking, telecoms, government and state-owned enterprises undergoing transformation.

What career benefits does the certification offer?

It positions you for roles such as Change Manager, OD Manager, Transformation Programme Lead and Head of Transformation. With change and reform accelerating across the Maldives, certified practitioners who can drive adoption are in growing demand.

Do I need prior experience to start?

No. Change Management Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to all. The Practitioner exam requires the Foundation certification first, and the combined programme takes you through both levels in sequence.

    Pricing

How much does Change Management training cost in the Maldives?

Fees vary by format and schedule, so the current price is available on request. The combined programme includes preparation for both the Foundation and Practitioner exams. Contact a learning advisor for a quote and upcoming batches.

What is included in the course fee?

The training fee typically includes syllabus-aligned courseware, case studies, mock questions for both levels, exam preparation guidance and learner support. Confirm the exact inclusions for your chosen batch when you enrol.

Are the Foundation and Practitioner exam fees included?

Exam voucher inclusion depends on the package, so please confirm when you enrol. The combined programme leads to two separate exams, and our team can guide you on how each exam is booked.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for teams and departments in the Maldives. Ask about corporate pricing for a tailored quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

How many exams are in the combined programme?

Two. You sit the Foundation exam and the Practitioner exam separately, and must pass both to hold both credentials. The combined training prepares you for each level end to end.

What is the format of the Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice questions with a single answer each, lasts 40 minutes and is closed book. The pass mark is 50%, which is 25 out of 50 correct.

What is the format of the Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam has 5 scenario-based sections worth 16 marks each, 80 marks in total, and lasts 2.5 hours. It is open book, with the Change Management Practitioner Guide permitted. The pass mark is 50%, which is 40 out of 80 marks.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

You may use the Change Management Practitioner Guide during the exam. However, the scenario sections require analysis and judgment, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient guide navigation and deep model knowledge both matter, and the training builds both.

What if I do not pass on the first attempt?

Our training is designed to help you pass both exams first time, with mock questions and exam technique for each level. If a resit is needed, resit policies and fees are available on request. Talk to a learning advisor for details.

    Course Content

What topics does the training cover?

It covers five areas at Foundation and Practitioner levels: Change and the Individual, Change and the Organisation, Communication and Stakeholder Engagement, Change Practice, and Personal and Professional Management, plus exam preparation for both levels.

Which change management models will I learn?

You learn the models employers rely on, including ADKAR, Bridges' Transition Model, Lewin's three-step model, Kotter's 8-step model, McKinsey 7-S, Schein's culture model, Goleman's emotional intelligence and Cialdini's principles of influence.

Is the courseware aligned with the current syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current Change Management Foundation and Practitioner syllabi, the Change Management Practitioner Guide and the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK).

Can a beginner take this course?

Yes. Foundation has no prerequisites and starts from first principles, so beginners are welcome. The Practitioner level then builds on that knowledge to develop applied, scenario-based capability.

What materials and practice are included?

You receive syllabus-aligned courseware, industry-driven case studies, and practice questions and mock assessments for both the Foundation and Practitioner exams to help you identify gaps and build readiness.
