The dual EXIN and BCS credential proves both your knowledge and your applied ability, helping you stand out and negotiate stronger offers.

    General

Is Business Analysis certification worth it in El Salvador?

Yes. Certified business analysts are in demand across El Salvador's nearshore IT, banking, fintech and BPO sectors, where analysts average around $22,400 a year and senior roles pay considerably more. The dual EXIN and BCS credential proves both your knowledge and your applied ability, helping you stand out and negotiate stronger offers.

What are the BA Foundation and Practitioner certifications?

The EXIN BCS Foundation Certificate validates foundational business analysis knowledge, and the Practitioner Certificate validates your ability to apply BA techniques in realistic scenarios. Both are developed in partnership with BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, and aligned to the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge.

    Who should take this course?

The course suits aspiring analysts, IT and project professionals moving into business analysis, and practising analysts who want formal recognition. It is a complete entry-to-practitioner pathway, so no prior business analysis qualification is required to begin.

Are the BA certifications recognised internationally?

Yes. EXIN operates in over 165 countries and BCS is the UK's chartered professional body for IT. The combined credential has strong recognition across Europe, the Commonwealth, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America, so it travels well beyond El Salvador.

How long are the certifications valid?

Both the Foundation and Practitioner certifications are for lifetime. Neither expires and there is no renewal, re-examination or continuing education requirement once you have earned them.

    Pricing

How much does the BA certification training cost in El Salvador?

Training is delivered as a combined 32-hour programme, and the fee is available on request as it varies by format and schedule. El Salvador uses the US dollar, so pricing and any EXIN exam vouchers are quoted in USD. Request a quote for current pricing and group rates.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes EXIN-aligned courseware, industry case studies, mock exams and practice questions for both levels, and learner support. Verify whether the Foundation and Practitioner exam vouchers are bundled when you enrol; ask a learning advisor to confirm what your package covers.

Are the exam fees included in the price?

EXIN exam voucher pricing varies by region and purchasing channel, so confirm whether both vouchers are included in your training package. Request a quote and our team will detail exactly what is covered for your enrolment.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for IT, PMO and transformation teams. Contact us for a tailored group quote for your organisation in El Salvador.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the two BA exams?

The Foundation exam has 40 single-answer multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes, closed book. The Practitioner exam has 40 scenario-based multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes, closed book. The pass mark for each is 65 percent, which is 26 correct out of 40.

How many exams are there and do I need both?

There are two separate EXIN exams. You must sit and pass both the Foundation and the Practitioner exam to hold both credentials. The combined programme prepares you for each, with the Foundation typically taken before the Practitioner.

What are the prerequisites for each level?

The Foundation level has no formal prerequisites and is open to all. The Foundation Certificate is the recommended prerequisite for the Practitioner level, which is why the combined programme covers them in sequence.

Where can I take the EXIN BCS exams?

You can sit both exams online through EXIN's online proctored system or at an EXIN accredited testing location. They are usually arranged through the accredited training provider as part of the combined training and exam package.

What if I do not pass an exam on the first attempt?

You can re-sit an EXIN exam; verify the current re-sit policy and any fee with the training provider. Our combined preparation, mock exams and scenario practice are designed to help you clear both exams on the first attempt.

    Course Content

What topics does the BA training cover?

The programme covers the 14 Foundation topic areas, including investigation techniques, requirements engineering, stakeholder analysis, business process modelling and business case development, plus the 7 applied Practitioner topic areas assessed through scenario-based questions.

Can a beginner take this course?

Yes. The Foundation level assumes no prior business analysis knowledge, so beginners and those in adjacent roles can start comfortably. The training builds from core concepts to applied technique, supported by hands-on exercises and case studies.

Is the courseware aligned to the current standard?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the EXIN BCS Foundation and Practitioner Examination Specifications and to the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge, the recognised reference standard maintained by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions and mock exams for both the Foundation and Practitioner formats, plus industry case studies, so you can identify weak areas and build readiness for both exams.
