Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

The Project Management Professional (PMP) is PMI's flagship credential and the global gold standard for project managers. It validates your ability to lead and direct projects and teams using predictive, agile and hybrid approaches, and it is recognised by employers worldwide.

    General

    What is the PMP certification?

The Project Management Professional (PMP) is PMI's flagship credential and the global gold standard for project managers. It validates your ability to lead and direct projects and teams using predictive, agile and hybrid approaches, and it is recognised by employers worldwide.

Who should take PMP certification training in Uruguay?

PMP training suits experienced project managers, team leads and delivery professionals who want a globally recognised credential. In Uruguay it is especially valuable for professionals in IT, global services, fintech, energy and infrastructure who lead complex, deadline-driven projects.

Is the PMP recognised in Uruguay?

Yes. The PMP is a globally recognised PMI credential valued by employers across Uruguay and in more than 200 countries. Local demand is strong among technology firms, free-zone multinationals, banks and fintechs, and Montevideo has an active PMI chapter.

Is the PMP worth it for my career?

Yes. The PMP is one of the credentials most closely linked to higher pay in Uruguay, with reported premiums of up to 32% for certified project leaders. It opens senior roles such as senior project manager, programme manager and PMO lead. Talk to a learning advisor to plan your path.

What are the prerequisites for the PMP?

There are two paths. With a four-year degree you need 36 months of leading projects plus 35 contact hours of project management education. With a secondary diploma you need 60 months of leading projects plus the same 35 contact hours, which our training provides.

How long is the PMP valid?

The PMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 professional development units (PDUs) across the PMI Talent Triangle within each three-year continuing certification requirements (CCR) cycle.

    Pricing

How much does PMP training cost in Uruguay?

PMP training fees in Uruguay vary by format, with live online and classroom options at different price points. The fee covers your courseware, practice resources and learner support. Contact us for current pricing in local currency and request a quote for your preferred batch.

What is included in the PMP course fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, 35 contact hours, practice questions, mock exams, application guidance, learner support and a course completion certificate. The PMI exam fee is billed separately by PMI.

Is the PMP exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the PMP exam fee separately in USD under regional pricing (for reference, around USD 405 for members and USD 555 for non-members). PMI membership, about USD 139 per year, lowers the exam fee and includes the PMBOK Guide. Confirm current fees at pmi.org.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for delivery teams, PMOs and departments. Ask about corporate and group pricing for a tailored quote for your team.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What if I do not pass the PMP exam the first time?

You can retake it. PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period, and a re-examination fee applies to later attempts. Our mock exams, practice questions and exam-strategy guidance are designed to help you pass with confidence.

How many questions are on the PMP exam and how long is it?

The PMP exam has 180 questions and runs for 230 minutes (3 hours 50 minutes), including two 10-minute breaks. It uses several formats, including multiple choice, multiple response, matching, hotspot and limited fill-in-the-blank questions.

What is the passing score for the PMP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed percentage pass mark. Your result is determined through psychometric analysis and reported as pass or fail with performance feedback per domain, so aim for broad mastery across the whole exam content outline.

Which standard is the PMP exam based on?

The PMP is based on the PMP Examination Content Outline and references the PMBOK Guide Eighth Edition. The exam spans five areas: Project Management Fundamentals, Predictive Methodologies, Agile Frameworks, Business Analysis and Strategic Management, and Stakeholder Engagement and Communication.

Where can I take the PMP exam in Uruguay?

You can sit the PMP exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring from home or office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through PMI or the Pearson VUE website once your application is approved.

Does the PMP exam cover agile?

Yes. Agile and hybrid content is a major part of the exam, with a dedicated Agile Frameworks area worth about 27%. You will cover Scrum, Kanban and lean practices alongside predictive methods, reflecting the hybrid delivery employers use today.

    Course Content

Do I need prior experience to take this training?

You can join the training at any level, and our trainers support learners through every topic. To sit the PMP exam, however, PMI requires project-leading experience and 35 contact hours of education, which this training provides.

What topics does the PMP training cover?

The training covers the full PMP content: project management fundamentals, predictive and plan-based delivery, agile and hybrid frameworks, business analysis and value, and stakeholder engagement and communication, all aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams and topic-wise quizzes mapped to the PMP Examination Content Outline, so you can identify weak areas and build readiness for the 180-question exam.

Is the courseware aligned to the latest PMP syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current PMP Examination Content Outline and the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition, covering predictive, agile and hybrid delivery as tested in the current exam.

Will I receive a certificate after the training?

Yes. After completing the programme you receive a course completion certificate along with the 35 contact hours (PDUs) you can use toward your PMP exam eligibility.

    Enrollment

How soon can I start and how do I enrol?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website and start with the next available batch. Choose your format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. See upcoming batches or talk to a learning advisor to begin.

    What training formats are available?

We offer PMP training online through live virtual classrooms, in-person classroom training, and customised corporate group training. You can choose the format that best fits your schedule and learning preference in Uruguay.

Do you provide the 35 contact hours needed for PMP eligibility?

Yes. Our PMP training provides the 35 contact hours of project management education that PMI requires as part of the exam eligibility, along with a completion certificate as proof.

Can I reschedule or transfer to another batch?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or transfer to another batch, and selected plans allow you to attend the training twice. Contact our support team to arrange this.

What is the refund or cancellation policy?

Refunds and cancellations are handled per our published policy, and selected plans include a money-back guarantee. Reach out to our team for the details that apply to your enrolment.
