    What happens if I do not pass an exam on the first attempt?

    You can re-sit either exam; EXIN re-examination policies apply, so confirm current terms when you book. Our training includes mock exams and trainer guidance to help you prepare thoroughly for both the Foundation and Practitioner exams.

    What is the format of the Foundation and Practitioner exams?

    Both are closed-book exams. The Foundation exam uses single-answer multiple-choice questions testing knowledge and comprehension across 14 topic areas. The Practitioner exam uses scenario-based multiple-choice questions testing application across 7 topic areas.

    How many questions are on each exam and how long is it?

    Each exam has 40 questions and lasts 60 minutes. You must sit and pass both exams to hold both credentials.

    What is the passing score?

    The pass mark for both exams is 65%, which is 26 correct answers out of 40. The same threshold applies to the Foundation and the Practitioner exam.

    Do I need to pass Foundation before Practitioner?

    The EXIN BCS Foundation certificate is the recommended prerequisite for the Practitioner level. In the combined programme, Foundation content is covered first, then Practitioner, so you build knowledge before applying it in scenarios.

    Where can I sit the EXIN BCS exams?

    You can take both exams online through EXIN's online proctored system or at an EXIN accredited testing location. Exams are usually arranged as part of the combined training and dual exam package.

    Do I need prior experience to take this course?

    No prior experience is required for the Foundation level, which is open to all. The course is beginner friendly and builds from core concepts to applied practitioner techniques, so newcomers and experienced professionals both benefit.

    What topics does the training cover?

    The programme covers investigation techniques, requirements engineering, business process and requirements modelling, strategy analysis, stakeholder management, defining solutions and building a business case, spanning all 14 Foundation topic areas and the 7 applied Practitioner topic areas.

    Which standard is the courseware aligned to?

    The courseware is aligned to the EXIN BCS Foundation and Practitioner Examination Specifications and the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BCS BoK), the current reference standard maintained by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.

    Are mock exams and practice questions included?

    Yes. You get practice questions and mock exams mapped to both the Foundation and Practitioner formats, plus case studies and quizzes to help you identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

    Will I receive a certificate of completion?

    Yes. After meeting the course requirements you receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning. Your official EXIN digital certificates and badges follow once you pass each exam.

    We offer online (live virtual) instructor-led training, classroom sessions and customised corporate group training. The combined programme runs as a 32-hour schedule delivered over intensive or extended days to fit your availability.

    Can I reschedule or transfer to another batch?

    Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or transfer to another batch, and selected plans allow you to attend the training again. Contact support to arrange this.
