What Is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner Certification?UntitledYour Route to Leading Change with Confidence

Change Management Certification Training in Bulgaria equips you to lead the people side of organisational change with a globally recognised, dual-level credential. The Change Management Foundation and Practitioner (CM-F&P) qualification validates both your knowledge of change theory and your ability to apply it to real scenarios, aligned to the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) from the Change Management Institute and delivered under the Agile Business Consortium scheme. The combined programme prepares you for two separate examinations. The Foundation exam is a 50-question, closed-book paper of 40 minutes with a 50% pass mark, while the Practitioner exam is an open-book, scenario-based paper of five sections worth 80 marks over 2.5 hours, again at a 50% pass mark. You work from the current Change Management Practitioner Guide and master proven models such as ADKAR, Kotter's 8-Step Model, Lewin's Three-Step Model, McKinsey 7-S and Bridges' Transition Model. As Bulgaria adopts the euro in 2026 and Sofia's shared-services and IT sector accelerates digital transformation, employers increasingly need certified change professionals. Start your change management journey with Invensis Learning and move from study to certified.

What Is Driving Change Management Demand in Bulgaria

    Euro Transition Pressure

Bulgaria's 2026 euro adoption forces banks, retailers and shared-services centres to change finance systems, pricing and processes, work that needs structured change management to land smoothly.

Change management lands complex process change

    Shared-Services Reinvention

Sofia's 250-plus service centres are shifting from transaction processing to exception handling and analytics, and that operating-model change demands skilled change practitioners.

    Practitioners lead operating-model change

    AI and Automation Disruption

As BPO providers automate routine work, teams must adopt new AI-assisted roles. Managing that human transition is exactly what certified change managers are hired to do.

Certified change managers manage the human shift

    Digital Transformation Adoption

Enterprises and public bodies fund digital programmes, but value leaks when users resist new tools. Change management closes the gap between rollout and genuine adoption.

    Change management drives real adoption

    Change-Ready Skills Shortage

Bulgaria has deep project and IT talent but few credentialed change professionals, making certified practitioners stand out to employers competing for scarce change skills.

CM-F&P holders stand out to employers

    Culture and Restructuring Demands

Mergers, restructuring and rapid growth push organisations to reshape culture and ways of working, raising demand for practitioners who can lead people through change.

    General

What is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification?

Foundation validates your understanding of change concepts, while Practitioner validates your ability to apply them to real scenarios, aligned to the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK).

Who should take change management certification in Bulgaria?

It suits change managers, project and programme managers, HR business partners, OD practitioners, consultants and leaders sponsoring change. With Bulgaria's euro transition and digital transformation driving demand, it is valuable for anyone guiding teams through change.

Is the change management qualification recognised internationally?

Yes. The qualification is recognised in over 150 countries and is well respected across Europe, the UK and Australia. In Bulgaria it is valued by IT services, shared-services centres, banks and manufacturers running large transformation programmes.

What is the difference between the Foundation and Practitioner levels?

Foundation tests your knowledge and comprehension of change models at awareness level. Practitioner is more advanced and tests your ability to apply change approaches to realistic organisational scenarios through an open-book, scenario-based exam.

Is the change management certification worth it in Bulgaria?

    Pricing

How much does change management training cost in Bulgaria?

Pricing depends on the delivery format and schedule, and is quoted in euros following Bulgaria's 2026 euro adoption. Fees are available on request. Request a quote and our team will share current pricing and any offers.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes instructor-led training across both levels, CMBoK-aligned courseware, case studies, mock exams and practice questions, exam vouchers where included, and learner support. Confirm the exact inclusions when you enquire.

Are the exam fees included in the training price?

Exam voucher inclusion varies by package. Some plans bundle both the Foundation and Practitioner exam vouchers, while others quote them separately. Ask a learning advisor to confirm what your chosen package covers.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for change teams, PMOs and HR functions. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice questions, runs for 40 minutes and is closed book. The pass mark is 50%, so you need 25 out of 50 correct. It is delivered via online proctoring or an authorised test centre.

What is the format of the Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam is open book and scenario-based, with five sections each worth 16 marks, giving 80 marks in total. You have 2.5 hours, and the pass mark is 50%, so you need 40 out of 80 marks.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

You may use the Change Management Practitioner Guide during the exam. However, the five scenario-based sections require analysis and judgement, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient guide navigation and deep method knowledge are both essential.

What are the prerequisites for each exam?

The Foundation exam has no formal prerequisites and is open to all. The Practitioner exam requires the Change Management Foundation certification, or an accepted equivalent, before you can sit it.

What happens if I do not pass the first time?

You can resit either exam. Our training includes mock exams, practice questions and trainer guidance to help you prepare thoroughly, and selected plans offer retake support. Ask about the resit and support options for your package.

    Course Content

What topics does the change management course cover?

The course covers five topic areas: Change and the Individual, Change and the Organization, Communication and Stakeholder Engagement, Change Practice, and Personal and Professional Management. Both levels draw on these areas, Foundation at awareness level and Practitioner at application level.

Which change management models will I learn?

You will learn a broad range of models, including ADKAR, Bridges' Transition Model, Lewin's Three-Step Model, Kotter's 8-Step Model, McKinsey 7-S, Schein's culture model, Goleman's emotional intelligence and Cialdini's principles of influence.

Do I need prior experience to take this course?

No prior change management experience is required for Foundation, which is open to all. The training builds from the fundamentals, so beginners and experienced professionals can both follow it comfortably and progress to Practitioner.

    What learning materials are provided?

You receive CMBoK-aligned courseware, industry-driven case studies, practice questions, mock exams and reference to the Change Management Practitioner Guide, plus trainer-led guidance on the open-book exam technique.

    How long is the training?

The combined Foundation and Practitioner programme is delivered as 40 hours of instruction. The number of days varies with the schedule, from an intensive full-day format to extended part-day options.

    Enrollment

How do I enrol in the change management course in Bulgaria?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Contact a learning advisor if you need help choosing a batch.

    What training formats are available?

We offer live virtual (online) instructor-led training, classroom training, and customised corporate group training. This lets you choose the format that fits your schedule and learning preference across Bulgaria.

Can a beginner join the course?

Yes. Foundation has no prerequisites, so beginners are welcome. The trainer builds concepts step by step and provides practice throughout, so you can complete both levels even without prior change management experience.

Can I reschedule my enrolment to another batch?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or transfer to another batch, and selected plans let you attend the training again. Contact support to arrange a change to your enrolment.
