How to Get PMP Certified in CameroonStep-by-Step Certification Process

The PMP certification path in Cameroon is designed for experienced project managers. You complete the required 35 contact hours, document your project leadership experience, apply to PMI, prepare with mocks and assessments, and schedule your exam through Pearson VUE. Once you pass, you join the global community of 1.2 million+ PMP-certified professionals.

    Step 1: Eligibility Check

Confirm you meet one of PMI's two pathways: a four-year degree with 36 months of project leadership experience, or a secondary degree with 60 months of experience. Both pathways require 35 hours of project management education.

    Step 2: Enroll

Select the learning format that best suits your schedule and goals, including online, instructor-led, and corporate PMP training for teams. Once enrolled, you gain access to courseware, schedules, and a structured study plan to earn the required 35 contact hours.

    Step 3: Attend Classes

Complete live instructor-led sessions or self-paced learning modules included in your PMP training course online or classroom-based program. Participate in case discussions and cover the PMP syllabus across the People, Process, and Business Environment domains, including predictive, agile, and hybrid project management approaches.

Step 4: Document Experience and Apply to PMI

Document your project leadership experience (36 or 60 months, depending on pathway) and submit your PMP application to PMI. Our team supports you with the application process and experience documentation.

    Step 5: Preparation

Use 1,500+ practice questions, 5 full-length PMP mock exams, 1 Agile model exam, flashcards, and the exam simulator to strengthen weak areas and build speed for the 180-question exam.

Step 6: Schedule and Take the Exam

Once your PMI application is approved, schedule your exam at a Pearson VUE test center or take it online, proctored. Take the 230-minute, 180-question PMP exam covering People, Process, and Business Environment.

Step 7: Pass and Get Certified

After passing, you receive your PMP credential and digital badge, valid for three years. Maintain certification with 60 PDUs across the three-year cycle (35 in Education, 25 in Giving Back).

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

The PMP is PMI's flagship project management credential and the global gold standard for project managers. It validates your ability to lead predictive, agile and hybrid projects, and suits project managers, team leads, engineers and consultants with project experience.

    General

What is the PMP certification and who is it for?

The PMP is PMI's flagship project management credential and the global gold standard for project managers. It validates your ability to lead predictive, agile and hybrid projects, and suits project managers, team leads, engineers and consultants with project experience.

Is the PMP worth it for professionals in Cameroon?

Yes. The PMP is recognised in over 200 countries and is in strong demand across Cameroon's telecoms, energy, banking and infrastructure sectors. Certified holders are typically paid 20 to 40% more than uncertified peers, making it a high-return credential. Talk to a learning advisor to plan your path.

Which standard and edition is the PMP based on?

The PMP is governed by the Project Management Institute (PMI) and aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition and the current PMP Examination Content Outline (ECO). Around half the exam covers predictive delivery and half covers agile and hybrid approaches.

What are the prerequisites for the PMP?

There are two paths. With a four-year degree you need 36 months of leading projects plus 35 contact hours of project management education. With a secondary diploma you need 60 months of leading projects plus the same 35 contact hours, which this training provides.

How long is the PMP valid and how is it renewed?

The PMP is valid for three years. To maintain it you earn 60 PDUs across the PMI Talent Triangle (Ways of Working, Power Skills and Business Acumen), with at least 8 PDUs in each area, within the three-year cycle.

    Pricing

How much does PMP training cost in Cameroon?

PMP training fees vary by format, such as live virtual, classroom or corporate group training. The PMI exam fee is billed separately by PMI in USD under regional pricing. Contact us for current pricing and to request a quote for your preferred format.

What is included in the PMP course fee?

The fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, 35 contact hours of training, practice questions, mock exams, exam simulator access, downloadable templates, application guidance, learner support and a course completion certificate. Ask a learning advisor what your chosen plan covers.

How much is the PMP exam fee?

For reference, PMI charges around USD 405 for members and USD 555 for non-members; verify current fees at pmi.org as prices vary by region. PMI membership (about USD 139 per year) lowers the exam fee and includes free access to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for teams, project offices and departments across Cameroon. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the PMP exam?

The PMP exam has 180 questions to be completed in 230 minutes (3 hours 50 minutes), including two 10-minute breaks. It uses multiple question types: multiple choice, multiple response, matching, hotspot and limited fill-in-the-blank, delivered closed book.

What are the PMP exam domains?

The exam is aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition and covers five domains: Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts, Predictive Plan-Based Methodologies, Agile Frameworks, Business Analysis and Strategic Management, and Stakeholder Engagement and Communication.

What is the passing score for the PMP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed pass mark. Your result is set through psychometric analysis and reported as Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement across the domains, so aim for broad mastery of every domain rather than a single percentage.

Where and how do I take the PMP exam?

You can sit the exam online via Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring from home or office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through PMI's portal or the Pearson VUE website within your one-year eligibility period.

What if I do not pass the first time?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Re-examination fees apply to the second and third attempts. Our training includes mock exams and prep support to help you pass with confidence.

Does the PMP exam cover agile?

Yes. Around half of the exam reflects agile and hybrid approaches, and the current structure includes a dedicated Agile Frameworks domain. The training covers Scrum, Kanban and lean alongside predictive methods.

    Course Content

What topics does the PMP training cover?

The training covers all five performance domains of the current ECO: project management fundamentals, predictive plan-based methodologies, agile frameworks, business analysis and strategic management, and stakeholder engagement, plus exam strategy and application guidance.

Can a beginner take this training?

The training welcomes professionals with some project experience. It builds from fundamentals through advanced delivery, with trainer support throughout. To sit the PMP exam, PMI also requires project-leadership experience and 35 contact hours, which this course provides.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams and an exam simulator that mirror the 180-question PMI exam, helping you identify weak areas and build readiness before exam day.

Is the courseware aligned to the latest PMP syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition and the current PMP Examination Content Outline, so you prepare for the exam exactly as it is delivered today.

What learning materials will I receive?

You receive PMI-aligned courseware, practice question banks, mock exams, downloadable project templates, chapter-wise quizzes and flashcards, along with guidance for the PMI application.

How soon can I start and how do I enrol?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website in minutes. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you receive access to upcoming schedules, courseware and learning resources. See upcoming batches or talk to an advisor to get started.

    What training formats are available?

We offer live virtual (online) instructor-led training, self-paced e-learning, classroom training and customised corporate group training, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule and learning style.

Do I need to meet eligibility to enrol in the training?

No. Anyone can enrol in the training. PMI eligibility (a degree or diploma, project-leadership experience and 35 contact hours) applies only when you apply to sit the PMP exam, and the training delivers the 35 contact hours you need.
