Is there an exam for this course?

No. This is a non-certification skills course with no exam. Your learning is reinforced through hands-on Azure DevOps exercises throughout the programme rather than a formal test.

Do I get a certificate after the training?

Yes. You receive a Course Completion Certificate from Invensis Learning once you finish the programme. It recognises that you have completed practical Azure DevOps skills training.

Is this an official Microsoft credential?

No. Azure DevOps services are Microsoft products, but this is vendor-neutral, practical skills training with no awarding body or credential. It focuses on building capability you can apply at work rather than preparing for a formal qualification.

How is my learning assessed during the course?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, you apply each concept through guided, hands-on exercises, building pipelines, writing infrastructure as code and configuring monitoring, so you practise the skills as you learn them.

Will these skills help me on the job straight away?

Yes. The skills are immediately applicable. By the end you can create repositories with branch policies, build CI/CD pipelines, deploy with Bicep and containers, and set up monitoring, all tasks Dominican employers are actively hiring for.

Course Content

What topics does the Azure DevOps course cover?

The course spans six modules: DevOps foundations and the Azure DevOps ecosystem; Azure Repos and CI with Azure Pipelines; continuous delivery with multi-stage pipelines; Azure Boards and infrastructure as code; containers with ACR and AKS plus Azure Monitor; and DevSecOps, Azure Test Plans and continuous improvement.

What will I be able to do after the training?

You will be able to manage Git repos with branch policies in Azure Repos, build YAML CI/CD pipelines, deploy to Azure App Service or AKS, provision infrastructure with Bicep, and set up Azure Monitor and Application Insights dashboards.

Are there hands-on labs included?

Yes. Hands-on exercises run throughout the day. You follow along in the Azure DevOps portal and Azure CLI, configuring pipelines, repositories, IaC templates and monitoring using realistic delivery scenarios.

Does the course cover infrastructure as code?

Yes. You learn infrastructure as code with both ARM templates and Bicep, including deployment modes, what-if previews and how to deploy templates directly from Azure Pipelines for consistent, repeatable environments.

Is the content up to date with current Azure tools?

Yes. The curriculum reflects the current Azure-native toolchain, including the five Azure DevOps services, ARM and Bicep, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Monitor, Application Insights and Microsoft Defender for DevOps.

We offer live online training (live virtual instructor-led), classroom and onsite delivery, plus customised corporate group training. You can choose the format that best fits your schedule and how your team prefers to learn.

How long is the course?

The programme runs for one day (8 hours), and can also be delivered as two half-day sessions. It covers all six modules with concept explanations, Azure context and hands-on exercises throughout.
