    What is the format of the PRINCE2 Agile Foundation exam?

    The Foundation exam has 40 multiple-choice questions, lasts 60 minutes and is closed book. The pass mark is 60%, which is 24 out of 40 correct. It tests knowledge and comprehension of how PRINCE2 governance integrates with agile methods.

    What is the format of the PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner exam?

    The Practitioner exam has 50 scenario-based questions, lasts 150 minutes and is open book, with the PRINCE2 Agile publication permitted. The pass mark is 60%, which is 30 out of 50 correct. It tests your ability to apply and tailor PRINCE2 Agile in real scenarios.

    What are the prerequisites for each exam?

    PRINCE2 Agile Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to all. Practitioner requires PRINCE2 Agile Foundation, or PRINCE2 Foundation, or an accepted equivalent. The combined programme covers both levels sequentially.

    How are the exams delivered?

    Both exams are delivered by PeopleCert, either online with the OnVUE proctoring system available 24/7, or at authorised test centres. You can sit them from home or office in Spain, or at a centre near you.

    What if I do not pass the first time?

    You can resit either exam under PeopleCert's re-sit policy, and our training includes practice questions, mock exams and exam technique to help you prepare thoroughly. Confirm current re-sit fees and policy with PeopleCert before booking.

    Course Content

    What topics does the training cover?

    The programme covers the nine Foundation topics, including the agile mindset, blending agile with PRINCE2, stakeholder engagement, risk and change control, progress tracking and value-driven thinking, plus the nine applied Practitioner areas such as tailoring and governing with flexibility.

    Which agile frameworks are included?

    The course covers Scrum as the primary framework, along with Kanban, Lean Startup and Scrumban, and an awareness of scaling approaches. You learn how each fits within the PRINCE2 governance model.

    Do I need prior agile or PRINCE2 experience?

    No prior experience is required for Foundation. Familiarity with Scrum or Kanban is helpful but not essential. The training builds knowledge from the ground up before moving into the applied Practitioner content, so beginners and experienced practitioners can both benefit.

    Are practice tests and mock exams included?

    Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams and open-book Practitioner technique to help you identify weak areas and build readiness for both exams.

    How long is the Practitioner credential valid?

    The PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner credential is valid for three years. You can renew it by retaking the exam, completing continuing professional development, or passing a higher-level qualification. Confirm current renewal options with PeopleCert.
