    Is the CAPM worth it for a project career in Iceland?

    Yes. CAPM is a recognised first step into project management, and entry-level project roles in Iceland average around kr 9.5M per year, with clear routes to grow.     Do I need work experience to take the CAPM?

    No. CAPM is the only PMI practitioner credential that requires no project management work experience. You need a secondary degree (a high school diploma or global equivalent) and at least 23 hours of project management education, which this training provides.

    Which standard is the CAPM based on?

    The CAPM exam is based on the CAPM Examination Content Outline effective 2023, aligned to the PMBOK Guide Eighth Edition and the Agile Practice Guide. The training follows this current outline so your preparation matches the live exam.

    How long is the CAPM valid and how do I renew it?

    CAPM is valid for three years from the date of certification. Unlike the PMP, it is renewed by retaking and passing the CAPM exam within the three-year cycle, not by earning PDUs.

    How much does CAPM training cost in Iceland?

    Is the PMI exam fee included in the training price?

    No. PMI bills the CAPM exam fee separately under regional pricing (for reference, around USD 225 for members and USD 300 for non-members). PMI membership can reduce the exam cost and gives access to the PMBOK Guide Eighth Edition.

    What does the CAPM exam cover?

    The CAPM exam covers four domains from the 2023 Examination Content Outline: Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts (36%), Predictive Plan-Based Methodologies (17%), Agile Frameworks and Methodologies (20%), and Business Analysis Frameworks (27%).

    How many questions are on the CAPM exam and how long is it?

    The CAPM exam has 150 questions and lasts three hours (180 minutes). It is a closed-book, multiple-choice exam with single-answer and multiple-answer question formats.

    Is there a fixed passing score for the CAPM?

    PMI does not publish a fixed percentage pass mark. The result is determined through psychometric analysis, and performance is reported across the four CAPM domains as Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery of all four.

    Where and how do I take the CAPM exam?

    You can sit the CAPM exam via Pearson VUE's OnVUE online proctoring from home or office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through PMI's portal or the Pearson VUE website within your one-year eligibility period.

    How many attempts do I get for the CAPM exam?

    You are allowed up to three attempts within the one-year eligibility window from the date your application is approved. Our practice questions and mock exams are designed to help you pass on the first attempt.
