Yes. You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning once you finish the one-day programme. This is a skills course, so no external credential or awarding body is involved.

How is learning reinforced without a test?

Through practice. You structure the Voice of the Customer with an affinity diagram, classify needs with the Kano model, and build and interpret a complete House of Quality using realistic scenarios during the session.

Is this a credential or a skills course?

It is a practical skills course. There is no formal credential, awarding body or governing standard for the training itself. The focus is on building QFD capability you can apply at work straight away.

Can I apply QFD at work right after the training?

Yes. That is the aim. You leave able to facilitate a Voice of the Customer session, build a House of Quality, and cascade requirements through parts, process and production planning on your own projects.

Course Content

What topics does the QFD training cover?

The programme covers QFD principles and origins, capturing and structuring the Voice of the Customer, building and interpreting the House of Quality, the four-phase QFD cascade, and applying QFD in Design for Six Sigma, DMAIC and service contexts.

What is the House of Quality?

The House of Quality is the core QFD planning matrix. It links customer requirements to engineering characteristics, rates the strength of each relationship, flags design conflicts in its correlation roof, benchmarks competitors and sets engineering targets.

Are there hands-on exercises?

Yes. Hands-on exercises run throughout the day. You structure customer requirements, apply the Kano model, and build and read a full House of Quality from a realistic product or service scenario.

How long is the training?

The programme is delivered in one day of eight hours, covering all six QFD modules with concept explanations, real-world examples and hands-on House of Quality construction throughout.

Does it cover QFD for services and software?

Yes. Alongside manufacturing product development, the course covers QFD for services such as healthcare and financial services, and for software, where user requirements are translated into architecture and test criteria.
