    What is the format of the EXIN ASM exam?

    The ASM exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination of 40 questions. It is delivered online with proctoring through EXIN or at an EXIN accredited testing location.

    How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 40 multiple-choice questions and a duration of 90 minutes. There is no break, so plan your time to work steadily across all the questions.

    What is the passing score for the ASM exam?

    You need 65 percent to pass, which is 26 out of 40 questions correct. Our practice questions and mock exams help you build the broad mastery the exam requires.

    What topics does the ASM exam cover?

    The exam covers five topics: Agile Way of Thinking (20%), Scrum Master Role (25%), Agile Estimating, Planning, Monitoring and Control (27.5%), Complex Projects (12.5%) and Adopting Agile (15%).

    What happens if I do not pass the first time?

    You can re-sit the EXIN exam. Re-examination policies and fees are set by EXIN. Our trainers support your preparation with practice questions and mock exams to help you feel ready before exam day.

    Course Content

    What will I learn in the ASM course?

    You will learn to facilitate Scrum events, remove impediments, coach the team, estimate and plan agile work, track delivery and support agile adoption. The content maps directly to the five EXIN ASM exam topics.

    How long is the ASM training?

    The training runs for around 16 hours, typically delivered over two days or as a series of half-day sessions, plus structured exam preparation to get you ready for the EXIN exam.

    Do I need prior experience to join?

    The course is beginner-friendly. Basic Scrum awareness helps, and EXIN recommends Agile Scrum Foundation knowledge, but you do not need formal work experience to enrol and learn the Scrum Master role.
