    How many questions are on the CSM exam?

    The CSM exam has 50 multiple-choice questions and a 60-minute time limit. It is open book, so you can refer to materials while you answer.

    What is the passing score for the CSM exam?

    You need to answer at least 37 of the 50 questions correctly, which is a passing score of 74%. Broad mastery across all six CSM Learning Objective areas is the best way to prepare.

    What if I do not pass the CSM exam first time?

    Candidates typically have three attempts to pass within 90 days of completing the course. Our training, practice questions and trainer guidance are designed to prepare you thoroughly for the online exam.

    How do I access the CSM exam?

    What will I learn in the CSM course?

    You will learn the Scrum framework in full: Scrum theory and empiricism, the five Scrum values, the Scrum team and accountabilities, the five events, the three artifacts and their commitments, and the Scrum Master role as a servant leader.

    Which Scrum Guide edition does the course follow?

    The course is aligned to the current Scrum Guide, the November 2020 edition by Ken Schwaber and Jeff Sutherland, along with the Scrum Alliance CSM Learning Objectives. This is the edition the CSM exam is based on.

    Do I need prior experience to take the CSM?

    No. There is no formal work experience or education requirement for the CSM. The course is beginner friendly and also suits practitioners who want to formalise Scrum knowledge picked up on the job.

    How long is the CSM training?
