Assessment

Is there an exam at the end of this course?

No. This is a non-certification, practical skills course with no examination. Learning is reinforced through hands-on Azure DevOps exercises throughout the programme, so you leave able to apply the tools rather than sit a test.

How is my learning assessed during the training?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, you configure pipelines, write infrastructure as code and set up monitoring through guided, hands-on exercises. This applied practice is how you build and demonstrate real Azure delivery capability.

Do I receive anything on completing the course?

Yes. On completing the programme you receive a Course Completion Certificate from Invensis Learning, recognising that you have completed the training and built practical Azure DevOps skills.

Will I be able to apply these skills at work straight away?

Yes. The programme is built around real DevOps scenarios, so you leave able to create Azure Repos with branch policies, write a YAML CI/CD pipeline, deploy to AKS, provision infrastructure with Bicep and set up Azure Monitor alerts.

Course Content

What will I learn in the Azure DevOps course?

You will learn source control with Azure Repos, CI/CD with Azure Pipelines, agile planning with Azure Boards, package management with Azure Artifacts, testing with Azure Test Plans, infrastructure as code with ARM and Bicep, containers on AKS, and monitoring with Azure Monitor.

How long is the training and how is it structured?

The programme runs as a one-day, eight-hour course covering six modules, from DevOps principles and the Azure ecosystem through CI/CD, agile planning, IaC, containers, monitoring and DevSecOps, with hands-on Azure exercises throughout the day.

Is the training hands-on or theory-based?

It is strongly hands-on. You follow along in the Azure DevOps portal and Azure CLI while the trainer demonstrates each service, configuring repositories, pipelines, IaC templates and monitoring on realistic scenarios rather than only learning concepts.

Does the course cover security and DevSecOps?

Yes. It covers shifting security left with Microsoft Defender for DevOps, secret and dependency scanning, branch policies as security controls, and using Azure Key Vault-linked variable groups so secrets stay out of your pipeline definitions.

Are Azure Kubernetes Service and infrastructure as code included?

Yes. You learn to build images with Azure Container Registry and deploy containerised apps to Azure Kubernetes Service, and to provision Azure resources with ARM templates and Bicep, deploying them directly from Azure Pipelines.
