The QbD Tools You Will Be Able to Apply

Skills You Use on Real Projects

In this training you will learn to apply the complete Quality by Design toolkit to pharmaceutical development, from defining the product profile through to building the control strategy for regulatory submission.

Define the Quality Target Product Profile

Build a QTPP from clinical and patient needs, setting the quality, safety and efficacy targets that guide the entire development programme.

    Identify Critical Quality Attributes

Determine which physical, chemical and biological attributes are critical to product quality for both small molecules and biologics, and justify your classification.

Lead Risk Assessments with FMEA and Ishikawa

Map material attributes and process parameters to CQAs, then prioritise them by risk using Ishikawa diagrams and FMEA with RPN scoring.

Plan DoE and Define the Design Space

Choose the right Design of Experiments approach, interpret the model, and define a design space with Normal Operating and Proven Acceptable Ranges.

Apply PAT and Build a Control Strategy

Use Process Analytical Technology such as NIR and Raman for real-time monitoring, and develop a risk-proportionate control strategy from your QbD outputs.

    Structure QbD Evidence for Submissions

Present the QTPP, risk assessment, DoE and control strategy as the pharmaceutical development section of a CTD dossier for EMA and FDA submissions.

"I had a great two days of training with Pritesh Shah. He was very patient with teaching the proper terms and providing real world examples for better understanding. I was the only one in the class and I felt very much accommodated to my learning style and how I can absorb information better. Every question I had was explained thoroughly to me."

"The trainer has shared simple explanations by providing easy to understand examples when it came to the foundation training and theory. Also, I got a good understanding on what methods should I use when reviewing/ understanding and answering the questions for the Practitioner exam. Overall the 4 days of trainings I believe were fundamentanl in preparing myself for both exams (foundation & practitioner). I feel confident that I got the necessary information to prepare to take the exams. "

"In terms of content, all good. But poor time management. Time expected for breaks was never compliant (ie. if teacher said he was taking 10 mins break, it ended up being 20. For 50 mins break, teacher was showing up AT least 10-15 mins late...) Also, during second day I asked one question about a test and teacher seem disappointed for me to ask and gave me a whole speech of me not retaining all information while reading (after hours of exhausted training) also letting me know people who does not focus tend to have Low IQ... Also, having to spend time just waiting for teacher to end notes that I guess it should have been ready already for the lesson (at least, if the teacher is expecting for the alum to memorize and know everything at once) "
