    General

Is the PMI-RMP worth it for professionals in Qatar?

Yes. The PMI-RMP is a globally recognised PMI credential that proves specialist project risk expertise, and it is highly valued in Qatar's energy, construction and infrastructure sectors where formal risk management is contractually required. Risk Manager roles in Qatar average around QAR 341,400 a year, with senior bands reaching far higher.

What is the PMI-RMP certification and who is it for?

The PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) is PMI's specialist credential in project risk management. It is designed for risk managers, project managers, PMO analysts and consultants who identify, assess, respond to and monitor project risks and want to prove advanced competency beyond general project management.

Is a PMP required before taking the PMI-RMP?

No. PMP certification is not a prerequisite for PMI-RMP. You can apply directly based on your risk management experience and education. Many holders do carry both, as the two credentials are complementary, but PMP is not required.

Is the PMI-RMP recognised in Qatar and internationally?

Yes. As a PMI credential, the PMI-RMP is recognised by employers globally and across Qatar, and it is particularly valued in high-risk industries such as energy, construction, defence and financial services where structured project risk management is required.

How long is the PMI-RMP certification valid?

The PMI-RMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 30 PDUs in risk management topics within each three-year continuing certification requirements (CCR) cycle, reported through PMI's system.

    Pricing

What is included in the PMI-RMP training fee in Qatar?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, coverage of all five risk domains, practice questions, mock exams, application guidance and learner support, plus a course completion certificate with contact hours. The PMI exam fee is billed separately. Request a quote for current pricing in Qatar.

How much does the PMI-RMP exam cost?

PMI bills the exam fee in USD under regional pricing, and it is not part of the training fee. For reference, the fee is around USD 520 for PMI members and USD 670 for non-members; confirm current amounts on pmi.org before applying, as PMI periodically updates pricing.

Do you offer group or corporate pricing in Qatar?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for project and risk teams across Doha and Qatar. Contact us for a tailored quote for your team.

Does PMI membership reduce the cost?

Yes. PMI individual membership (around USD 139 a year) lowers the exam fee and gives free access to the PMI Practice Standard for Project Risk Management, which supports your preparation. Verify current membership and exam fees on pmi.org.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the PMI-RMP exam?

The PMI-RMP exam is closed book with multiple-choice questions, based on the PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline effective January 2022 and the PMI Practice Standard for Project Risk Management. It is delivered via Pearson VUE OnVUE online proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

How many questions are on the PMI-RMP exam and how long is it?

The exam has 115 questions and you have 2.5 hours (150 minutes) to complete it. Questions include single-answer and multiple-answer multiple-choice formats.

What are the PMI-RMP exam domains and their weights?

The 2022 ECO defines five domains: Risk Strategy and Planning (20%), Risk Identification (20%), Risk Analysis (23%), Risk Response (22%) and Monitor and Close Risks (15%). The training covers all five in full.

What are the eligibility requirements for the PMI-RMP?

You meet one of three sets: Set A (secondary diploma, 36 months of risk experience in the last 5 years, 40 hours of risk education); Set B (bachelor's degree, 24 months, 30 hours); or Set C (a GAC-accredited degree, 12 months, 30 hours). Experience must be specifically in project risk management.

What if I do not pass the PMI-RMP on the first attempt?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Re-examination fees apply to later attempts; confirm current amounts on pmi.org. Our practice questions, mock exams and trainer support are designed to help you prepare thoroughly.

    Course Content

What topics are covered in the PMI-RMP training?

The training covers all five risk domains: Risk Strategy and Planning, Risk Identification, Risk Analysis, Risk Response, and Monitor and Close Risks, plus qualitative and quantitative techniques and application guidance, all aligned to the January 2022 Examination Content Outline.
