How is my learning assessed?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, you learn by doing, configuring repositories, pipelines, infrastructure as code and monitoring during guided, hands-on exercises that mirror real delivery scenarios on Azure.

Does this course award a Microsoft certification?

No. This is a vendor-neutral skills course and does not itself award a Microsoft certification. It builds practical, job-ready Azure DevOps skills that also give you a strong foundation if you later choose to pursue a Microsoft certification independently.

Do I need an Azure account before attending?

You should have access to an Azure subscription and an Azure DevOps organisation, both available on a free tier at dev.azure.com, so you can complete the exercises. Confirm with us whether a shared training environment is provided for your session.

What topics does the Azure DevOps course cover?

The course covers DevOps principles and the Azure DevOps ecosystem, source control with Azure Repos, CI/CD with Azure Pipelines, Agile planning with Azure Boards, infrastructure as code with ARM and Bicep, containerised deployment on AKS, monitoring, and DevSecOps.

What tools will I learn to use?

You work hands-on with Azure Repos, Azure Pipelines, Azure Boards, Azure Artifacts, ARM templates and Bicep, Azure Container Registry, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Monitor, Application Insights and Microsoft Defender for DevOps.

Are there hands-on exercises?

Yes. Practical exercises run throughout the day. You create a repository with branch policies, write a YAML CI/CD pipeline, deploy a Bicep template, deploy a container to AKS, and set up Azure Monitor and Application Insights.

Which Azure services are included in the training?

The training spans the five Azure DevOps services (Repos, Pipelines, Boards, Artifacts and Test Plans) plus related Azure services such as AKS, Azure Container Registry, Azure Monitor, Application Insights and Azure Key Vault.

Is the course content up to date?

Yes. Microsoft updates Azure DevOps frequently, and the course reflects current Azure DevOps services and practices, including YAML pipelines, Bicep for infrastructure as code and DevSecOps with Microsoft Defender for DevOps.
