    For Individuals

    For Individuals

Observability Foundation helps engineers move from reactive monitoring to true understanding of how their systems behave. The credential suits DevOps engineers, SREs, platform engineers and developers who want to keep cloud-native services reliable. Whether you are formalising skills you already use, stepping into an SRE role, or working in banking, fintech, e-commerce or telecoms, this training builds capabilities aligned with what Thai employers now expect.

If you want a recognised, vendor-neutral credential that travels across employers and borders, OBSF is a clear step forward. You gain practical observability knowledge, exam readiness and a structured path that hiring managers value across sectors.

    • Prove you can implement observability across cloud-native and microservices systems
    • Stand out to Thai employers hiring DevOps, SRE and platform engineers
    • Master the three pillars, metrics, logs and traces, that modern reliability depends on
    • Earn a globally recognised, vendor-neutral DevOps Institute credential

What Is Driving Observability Demand in Thailand

    Cloud Migration Outpacing Visibility

Thai banks, fintechs and retailers are moving to cloud and microservices faster than their monitoring can keep up, leaving blind spots that observability is built to close.

    OBSF builds three-pillar observability skills

Acute Cloud and Reliability Talent Gap

Thailand needs roughly 100,000 AI and cloud professionals by 2030 but has only about 21,000 today, so certified observability engineers are rare and highly sought after.

OBSF makes certified engineers stand out

    Rising Cost of Downtime

With digital payments and e-commerce central to the economy, every minute of downtime hits revenue, pushing Thai employers to hire engineers who can cut incident times.

    OBSF builds incident response skills

    Alert Fatigue and Noisy Monitoring

Teams drowning in low-value alerts miss real incidents. Observability Foundation teaches SLO and burn-rate alerting that focuses attention where it truly matters.

OBSF teaches SLO and burn-rate alerting

    Fragmented Tooling with No Standard

Many Thai organisations run a patchwork of monitoring tools. OpenTelemetry and a shared observability vocabulary bring consistency across distributed teams.

    OBSF standardises observability practice

    Data-Centre and 5G Expansion

A data-centre market growing near 18% a year and 5G-driven services demand reliability and observability at scale across increasingly distributed infrastructure.

What is the format of the Observability Foundation exam?

The OBSF exam has 40 single-answer multiple-choice questions to complete in 60 minutes. It is an open-book exam based on the current Observability Foundation Exam Blueprint (Body of Knowledge) published by the DevOps Institute.

What is the passing score for the exam?

The passing score is 65%, meaning you must answer at least 26 of the 40 questions correctly. Because the paper is open book, broad understanding of the observability blueprint matters more than memorisation.

What does the Observability Foundation exam cover?

The exam follows the current Observability Foundation Body of Knowledge across six modules: observability principles and the three pillars; metrics, logs and tracing; SLIs, SLOs, SLAs and error budgets; OpenTelemetry and telemetry pipelines; alerting and incident response; and SRE, AIOps and exam prep.

What if I do not pass on the first attempt?

If you do not pass the first time, you can re-sit the exam under the DevOps Institute's re-sit policy. Our trainers provide targeted guidance and additional practice to help you prepare for a confident retake. Confirm current re-sit terms when you book.
