Foundation builds your knowledge; Practitioner develops your ability to apply it to real change scenarios. It suits change managers, project and programme managers, HR business partners and transformation leaders across Harare and beyond who want a globally recognised credential. The Change Management Foundation and Practitioner (CM-F&P) certification is a two-level qualification covering the models, tools and practices needed to lead the people side of organisational change. Foundation validates your knowledge; Practitioner proves you can apply it to real change scenarios.

    General

What is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification?

The Change Management Foundation and Practitioner (CM-F&P) certification is a two-level qualification covering the models, tools and practices needed to lead the people side of organisational change. Foundation validates your knowledge; Practitioner proves you can apply it to real change scenarios.

Is change management certification worth it in Zimbabwe?

Yes. As banks, miners and telecoms in Zimbabwe accelerate digital transformation and restructuring, certified change practitioners are in demand. The credential opens change manager, OD and transformation roles, most paid in USD, and is recognised across sectors and borders.

Who should take this change management course?

It suits change managers, project and programme managers, HR business partners, OD practitioners, consultants and leaders who sponsor change. There are no formal prerequisites for the Foundation level, so it is open to professionals at any career stage.

What change management models does the course cover?

The syllabus covers ADKAR, Bridges' Transition Model, Lewin's Three-Step Model, Kotter's 8-Step Model, McKinsey 7-S, Schein's culture model, Goleman's emotional intelligence and Cialdini's principles of influence, grounded in the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK).

Which standard is the certification based on?

The course is aligned to the current Change Management Practitioner Guide and the CMBoK published by the Change Management Institute. The exams are delivered through APMG via online proctoring or authorised test centres.

    Pricing

How much does change management training cost in Zimbabwe?

Training fees vary by format and provider and are available on request. The Foundation and Practitioner exam fees are billed separately and vary by region and channel. Contact a learning advisor for a current quote tailored to Zimbabwe.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes instructor-led training, courseware aligned to both exam syllabi, case studies, mock exams and practice questions, exam guidance and learner support. Exam voucher inclusion varies, so confirm when you enrol. Request a quote for full details.

Are the exam fees included in the training price?

Exam fees are usually billed separately from the training fee and vary by region and purchasing channel. Confirm current inclusion and pricing with your learning advisor before you enrol.

Do you offer corporate or group pricing?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for banks, miners, telecoms and public bodies across Zimbabwe. Ask about group pricing for a tailored quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Most Zimbabwean fees are settled in USD. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

How many exams are in the combined programme?

Two. The Foundation exam has 50 questions in 40 minutes, closed book, with a 50% pass mark (25 of 50). The Practitioner exam has 5 scenario sections worth 16 marks each (80 total) over 2.5 hours, open book, with a 50% pass mark (40 of 80). Both must be passed.

What is the format of the Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam is closed book with 50 single-answer multiple-choice questions in 40 minutes. You need 50%, that is 25 correct, to pass. It tests knowledge and comprehension across the five change management syllabus areas.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

You may use the Change Management Practitioner Guide during the exam. However, the five scenario-based sections require analysis and judgement, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient guide navigation and deep method knowledge are both essential.

What are the prerequisites for the exams?

The Foundation level has no formal prerequisites and is open to all. The Practitioner exam requires the Change Management Foundation certification, or an accepted equivalent. The combined programme is designed to be taken in sequence.

What if I do not pass an exam the first time?

You can resit either exam. Our training includes mock exams, practice questions and exam-technique guidance to help you pass both the Foundation and Practitioner exams on your first attempt. Ask about resit policies and support when you enrol.

    Course Content

What will I learn in this change management course?

You will learn to lead change across five areas: change and the individual, change and the organisation, communication and stakeholder engagement, change practice, and personal and professional management, at both Foundation and applied Practitioner level.

Do I need prior experience to take the course?

No. The Foundation level is beginner friendly with no formal prerequisites, so professionals from HR, project management, consulting or leadership can start here. The Practitioner level then builds applied, scenario-based skill on that foundation.

    How long is the training?

The combined Change Management Foundation and Practitioner programme is delivered as 40 hours of instructor-led training. The number of days depends on the schedule format, such as full-day or extended half-day sessions.

Are practice questions and mock exams included?
