    Step 1: Enrol in the 4-Day LSSGB Training

    Step 2: Create Your IASSC Account

    What is the format of the Green Belt exam?

    The Green Belt exam is closed book and uses multiple-choice and true or false questions. It is delivered through online proctoring on demand or at a Pearson VUE test centre, and is based on the five DMAIC phases of the Green Belt Body of Knowledge.

    How many questions are on the exam and what is the pass mark?

    The exam has 100 questions, with up to 10 additional unscored questions on some forms, and you have three hours to complete it. You need a minimum of 385 points out of 550 to pass, with roughly 20 questions drawn from each DMAIC phase.

    Are there any eligibility requirements to sit the exam?

    No. There are no formal prerequisites for the Green Belt exam. Training and real-world experience are recommended but not mandatory, so you can sit the exam once you feel confident across the DMAIC method.

    What if I do not pass on the first attempt?

    You can retake the exam, and our training includes practice questions, mock tests and exam-readiness guidance to help you pass with confidence. Selected plans also offer a retake option. Ask a learning advisor about the support included in your package.

    How long is the certification valid and how do I renew?

    The Green Belt certification holds Current status for three years. To renew, you pass a recertification exam of 75 questions in two hours with a minimum score of 70 percent before your status elapses. This keeps your credential active for another three years.

    The training covers all five DMAIC phases: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control. You learn project scoping, voice of the customer, process mapping, measurement system analysis, process capability, hypothesis testing, regression, statistical process control and Lean tools such as 5S and value stream mapping.
