How to Get PMI-ACP Certified in ArmeniaStep-by-Step Certification Process

The path to Online PMI-ACP certification follows a streamlined exam-based process. After completing the required training and obtaining PMI approval, candidates proceed directly to the certification examination administered through Pearson VUE. Unlike some senior PMI credentials, PMI-ACP does not require a peer-panel review. Most candidates complete the journey from training to certification within 6–10 weeks, depending on preparation time and application processing.

What is the PMI-ACP certification?

Is the PMI-ACP worth it for professionals in Armenia?

Yes. Armenia's software, outsourcing and fintech sectors run agile delivery daily, yet certified agile leaders are scarce. PMI-ACP helps you stand out for Scrum Master, Agile Coach and delivery roles and supports stronger earning potential in Yerevan's tech market.

Who should take PMI-ACP training?

It suits Scrum Masters, agile coaches, product owners, project managers, developers and delivery leads working in agile or hybrid environments who want a vendor-neutral credential that spans multiple frameworks rather than a single one.

What are the eligibility requirements for PMI-ACP?

You need a secondary degree, 2,000 hours of general project experience within the last five years, 1,500 hours of agile experience within the last three years, and 21 contact hours of agile training. PMP or PgMP holders are exempt from the general project experience requirement.

How long is the PMI-ACP valid and how do I renew it?

The credential is valid for three years. You maintain it by earning 30 PDUs in agile topics within each three-year cycle and reporting them through PMI's Continuing Certification Requirements system.

Which standard is the PMI-ACP training based on?

The course follows PMI's Agile Certified Practitioner Examination Content Outline (ECO), published January 2018, alongside the Agile Practice Guide. It covers all seven agile domains and multiple frameworks.

What is included in the PMI-ACP training fee?

The fee covers 24 hours of instructor-led training, PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams mapped to the 120-question format, and application guidance. The PMI exam fee is billed separately. Request a quote for current pricing.

How much does the PMI-ACP exam cost?

For reference, PMI charges around USD 435 for members and USD 495 for non-members; actual fees vary, so confirm at pmi.org. PMI membership, about USD 139 a year, can lower the exam fee and unlocks the free Agile Practice Guide.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for teams and delivery units across Armenia. Ask about corporate or group pricing for a tailored quote.

Is the exam fee part of the course price?

No. PMI bills the exam fee directly in USD under regional pricing. Your training fee covers the instructor-led course, materials and exam preparation support only.

What payment options are available?

What if I do not pass the exam the first time?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period, and our mock exams and trainer support help you prepare thoroughly. Re-examination fees apply to later attempts; confirm current amounts at pmi.org.

How many questions are on the PMI-ACP exam?

The exam has 120 multiple-choice questions with a three-hour time limit. It is closed book and covers seven agile domains as set out in the Examination Content Outline published January 2018.

How and where is the exam delivered?

You sit it through Pearson VUE, either online with OnVUE remote proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through PMI's portal or the Pearson VUE website.

What is the passing score for the PMI-ACP exam?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score rather than a fixed percentage. Results are reported as pass or fail, with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement.

How is the exam structured across the domains?

Questions span seven domains: Agile Principles and Mindset, Value-Driven Delivery, Stakeholder Engagement, Team Performance, Adaptive Planning, Problem Detection and Resolution, and Continuous Improvement.

Course Content

Can a beginner take this course?

The training welcomes practitioners with some agile exposure, since PMI-ACP requires agile experience to sit the exam. Our trainers support you from the fundamentals upward, so you do not need a prior certification to start.

What topics does the PMI-ACP training cover?

It covers all seven agile domains and multiple frameworks, including Scrum, Kanban, Lean, Extreme Programming and test-driven development, plus tools such as story points, velocity, burndown charts and retrospectives.

Does the course meet the 21 contact-hour requirement?

Yes. The programme delivers 24 contact hours of agile training, which exceeds and fully satisfies PMI's 21 contact-hour education prerequisite for the PMI-ACP application.

What learning materials are provided?

You receive PMI-aligned courseware, practice question banks, mock exams, an exam simulator, and references to the Examination Content Outline and the Agile Practice Guide.

Is the courseware aligned to the current syllabus?

Yes. Content is aligned to the PMI-ACP Examination Content Outline published January 2018, which remains the current outline PMI uses for the exam.
