What is the format of the two PRINCE2 Agile exams?

The Foundation exam is closed book with 40 multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes. The Practitioner exam is open book, using the PRINCE2 Agile publication, with 50 scenario-based questions in 150 minutes. Both are delivered online proctored or at a test centre through PeopleCert.

What is the passing score for each exam?

Both exams require 60% to pass. That is 24 out of 40 correct at Foundation level and 30 out of 50 correct at Practitioner level. The combined course prepares you for both marks with level-specific practice.

What are the prerequisites for the Practitioner exam?

To sit PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner you need PRINCE2 Agile Foundation, or PRINCE2 Foundation, or another accepted equivalent. Foundation itself has no prerequisites, so the combined programme lets you gain Foundation first and progress directly to Practitioner.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

The PRINCE2 Agile publication is permitted during the Practitioner exam. However, questions require scenario analysis and judgement, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient navigation of the guide and solid method knowledge are both needed to pass.

How do I book and take the exams?

Exams are delivered by PeopleCert, either online proctored via OnVUE, available 24/7, or at an authorised test centre. After your training you schedule each exam through the PeopleCert portal. Our team can guide you through booking both levels.
