Why IT Governance Talent Is in Demand Across Argentina

    Tighter Financial-Sector IT Rules

BCRA and sector regulators keep raising IT risk and cyber-resilience expectations for banks and insurers, so institutions need a structured way to lift governance maturity, exactly what COBIT 5 Implementation delivers.

COBIT 5-I builds structured governance improvement skills

    Argentina's Fintech Boom

COBIT 5-I embeds governance without slowing delivery

    Nearshore Delivery Standards

IT services firms and GCCs serving global clients must demonstrate COBIT-aligned governance and audit readiness to win and retain contracts, raising demand for certified implementers.

COBIT 5-I proves governance and audit readiness

    Strategy-Execution Gap

Boards fund digital transformation, but weak links between strategy and the funded IT mix cause value leakage that governance leaders are hired to close.

COBIT 5-I links IT investment to strategy

    Scarce Governance Implementers

Argentina has deep project-management talent but few professionals credentialed to lead a full governance improvement lifecycle, making COBIT 5-I holders rare and valued.

COBIT 5-I makes certified leaders stand out

    Audit and Compliance Pressure

Data-protection updates and external audits push organisations to remediate governance gaps and keep improving, a discipline the COBIT 5 continuous improvement approach builds in.

    Exam

What is the format of the COBIT 5 Implementation exam?

It is an open-book, objective-testing examination. Only the COBIT 5 Implementation book and the COBIT 5 Enabling Processes Guide are permitted. Questions require scenario-based analysis and judgment, so deep method knowledge and efficient navigation both matter.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The exam has 4 questions per paper, each worth 20 marks, for 80 marks in total. You have 2 and a half hours (150 minutes) to complete it. All four questions are scored.

What is the passing score for the exam?

The pass mark is 50%. You need 40 marks or more out of the 80 available to pass, so aim for broad mastery across all four topic areas of the 2022 syllabus.

    How is the exam delivered?

The exam is delivered online with PeopleCert OnVUE proctoring, available 24/7, or at a PeopleCert authorised test centre. You can sit it from home or office in Argentina, or at a centre where available.

You can re-sit the COBIT 5 Implementation exam through PeopleCert. Our training and practice materials are designed to prepare you for a first-attempt pass; re-sit fees and policy are set by PeopleCert, so confirm current details before booking.

    Course Content

Do I need work experience to take the training?

There is no formal work-experience requirement, but you must hold COBIT 5 Foundation. The Implementation level is designed for professionals who lead or support governance improvement, so prior Foundation knowledge is assumed throughout the course.

What topics does the training cover?

Four topic areas: the need for a governance framework and the seven-phase implementation lifecycle; change enablement; programme management; and continuous improvement. Each is delivered at application level, aligned to the COBIT 5 Implementation Exam Syllabus (2022 version).

What are the seven phases of the implementation lifecycle?

Phase 1 what are the drivers, Phase 2 where are we now, Phase 3 where do we want to be, Phase 4 what needs to be done, Phase 5 how do we get there, Phase 6 did we get there, and Phase 7 how do we keep the momentum going. It is a continuous cycle, not a one-off project.

Is the courseware aligned to the latest syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the COBIT 5 Implementation Exam Syllabus (2022 version) and references the COBIT 5 Implementation book and the COBIT 5 Enabling Processes Guide, the two permitted open-book materials.

What learning materials and practice do I receive?
