What Is the CAPM Certification and Who Is It For?UntitledYour First PMI Credential

The Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) is the Project Management Institute's entry-level credential, and it proves you understand the language, processes and delivery approaches of modern project work before you have ever run a project of your own. It is the recognised first step for students, recent graduates, career changers and project team members who want a credible way into the profession. The exam follows PMI's CAPM Examination Content Outline effective January 2023 and is anchored in the PMBOK Guide Eighth Edition and the Agile Practice Guide. You cover four domains: Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts, Predictive Plan-Based Methodologies, Agile Frameworks and Methodologies, and Business Analysis Frameworks. Roughly half the paper is predictive delivery and half is agile and hybrid, which mirrors how software houses, nearshore delivery centres and EU-funded programme teams in Bulgaria actually work. You need only a secondary school diploma or global equivalent plus 23 hours of project management education, which this 24-hour instructor-led course provides in full. Start your CAPM journey with Invensis Learning and turn ambition into a credential.

What Getting CAPM Certified Actually Does for YouRecognition, Skills and a Way In

    For Individuals

    For Individuals

Certified CAPM training gives newcomers a defensible answer to the hardest interview question in project management: how do you get experience when every role asks for experience. The credential answers it with proof of knowledge, awarded by the profession's own governing body. It suits students and recent graduates, professionals switching from engineering, finance, marketing or operations, project team members who support delivery without leading it, and coordinators who want their next title to be project manager. Because the exam is half predictive and half agile and hybrid, you finish able to work in a waterfall programme office or a Scrum team without relearning the basics.

If you want a recognised way into project delivery in Sofia, Plovdiv or Varna, the CAPM is the shortest credible route. You gain the vocabulary, the frameworks and the confidence that hiring managers look for in early-career delivery talent, backed by a certificate the market already trusts.

    • Enter project management without prior project experience, the only PMI credential that allows it
    • Earn a globally recognised PMI credential that travels with you across employers and borders
    • Stand out for project coordinator and junior delivery roles in Bulgaria's tech and outsourcing sector
    • Speak predictive, agile and hybrid delivery fluently from your very first project meeting
    • Cover the 23 hours of project management education PMI requires, in one 24-hour programme
    • Build a credible foundation for PMP once you have the leading-projects experience it demands
    • Show employers evidence of commitment, not just interest, in the profession
    • Move from supporting tasks to owning schedules, budgets and stakeholder updates
    For Organizations

    For Organizations

Group CAPM training builds a common delivery language across teams that are growing faster than their project discipline. It is a practical fix for nearshore delivery centres, shared service organisations and public-sector programme teams where juniors learn planning habits by osmosis rather than by standard. Sessions can be run for a graduate intake, a PMO support layer or a whole business unit, in live virtual, onsite or blended formats.

If your organisation is scaling delivery headcount in Bulgaria and inconsistent project practice is showing up in slipped dates and thin status reports, team training fixes the foundation. Your people learn one method of planning, tracking and escalating, and your PMO stops correcting the same mistakes twice.

    • Give graduate and junior hires a shared delivery vocabulary from week one
    • Reduce rework caused by inconsistent planning, estimating and reporting habits
    • Standardise predictive, agile and hybrid practice across mixed delivery teams
    • Build an internal pipeline of future project managers instead of buying them in
    • Strengthen bids and audits with PMI-credentialed people on the delivery bench
    • Improve status reporting quality with earned value and performance basics
    • Deliver training onsite, live virtual or blended around client-facing schedules
    • Raise retention by giving early-career staff a visible progression path

Jobs and Demand After CAPM in BulgariaWhy This Credential Opens Doors

The credential opens the doors that ask for delivery knowledge rather than delivery years: project coordinator, project administrator, junior project manager, PMO support analyst and business analysis assistant. Bulgaria's outsourcing and software sector is one of the fastest growing in the region, and its EU recovery programme must hit its final milestones by August 2026, so employers need people who can plan, track and report from day one. What Is Driving Demand for Project Talent in Bulgaria

    EU Recovery Milestones Falling Due

Bulgaria's 6.17 billion euro recovery and resilience plan must report its final milestones by August 2026, and delivery teams need people who can plan, track and evidence progress properly.

Learn planning, tracking and reporting fundamentals

A Tech Sector Outgrowing Its Project Bench

BASSCOM counts more than 108,000 ICT professionals across roughly 6,100 companies. Engineering talent is deep, but trained project coordinators who can hold a plan together are scarce.

Build the delivery discipline employers cannot find

Hybrid Delivery Is Now the Default

Nearshore centres run waterfall governance for clients and Scrum inside teams. Roughly half the exam is predictive and half agile and hybrid, which is exactly the mix these employers work in.

Master predictive, agile and hybrid approaches

The Euro Changeover Created Project Load

Bulgaria adopted the euro on 1 January 2026, pushing banks, retailers and software firms into pricing, system and compliance projects that need disciplined coordination and clean reporting.

Bulgaria's delivery teams are hiring people who already speak the language of projects. Get the credential that proves you do, and start your project career on the front foot.

    Your Bulgaria Career Transformation

From Project Support to Certified Practitioner

    Your CAPM Upgrade

Bulgaria's software, outsourcing and public programme sectors keep adding delivery work, and employers separate the candidates who understand how projects run from those who only want to learn. Here is which side of that line the credential puts you on.

    Today

Little leverage to negotiate without evidence of project capability

    After CAPM

Project coordinator roles in Bulgaria average around EUR 23,300 gross a year, with project manager bands reaching higher

    Today

Filtered out of delivery shortlists that ask for experience you cannot get

    After CAPM

Eligible for coordinator, PMO support and junior delivery roles across tech, banking and EU-funded programmes

    Today

Willing to help on projects, unsure how the parts fit together

    After CAPM

Confident with schedules, budgets, risk registers, backlogs and status reporting

    You earn your CAPM

    Before

A CV with potential but no proof of project knowledge

    Now you have

A PMI credential that hiring managers in Sofia, Plovdiv and Varna already recognise

    Before

Picking up project vocabulary in meetings and hoping it sticks

    Now you have

Fluency in predictive, agile and hybrid delivery, drawn from the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition

    Before

No clear next step between where you are and a project manager title

    Now you have

A documented foundation you can build on toward PMP as your experience grows

"The gap between wanting a project career and starting one is usually a credential, and the employers who matter already know which one they look for."

The Skills You Will Build in This ProgrammeFour Domains, One Foundation

You will learn to plan, track and report a project using both predictive and agile approaches, and to hold your own in delivery conversations from your first week on the job. The 24-hour programme maps directly to the four CAPM domains in PMI's Examination Content Outline, grounded in the PMBOK Guide Eighth Edition and the Agile Practice Guide.

Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts

The skills covered in CAPM start here: tell projects, programmes and portfolios apart, read a project life cycle, understand the roles of sponsor, project manager and team, and work confidently with a project charter and PMI's project management principles.

    Predictive Plan-Based Delivery

Plan and control work the traditional way. You will build a work breakdown structure, sequence a schedule and find the critical path, estimate and baseline cost, and apply quality, risk, procurement and integration processes across the five process groups.

    Agile Frameworks and Methodologies

Work inside a Scrum team without hesitating. You will apply the Agile Manifesto, run the Scrum events and artefacts, use Kanban boards and work-in-progress limits, and read backlogs, story points, velocity and burndown charts on a live delivery board.

    Business Analysis Frameworks

Turn a business need into requirements a team can build. You will run needs assessments, elicit and document requirements, keep them traceable, model processes and use cases, and evaluate solution options against clear acceptance criteria.

    Performance Reporting and Earned Value

Report progress in numbers rather than adjectives. You will track scope, schedule and cost baselines, calculate planned value, earned value, actual cost, SPI and CPI, and turn them into status reports and dashboards that leaders trust.

Exam Readiness for the 150-Question Paper

Walk into the exam knowing the format. You will practise timed multiple-choice questions against the CAPM Examination Content Outline, learn how to read situational questions, and rehearse pacing for 150 questions in three hours.

    What Our Learners Say

    Untitled

    From Marketing to Project Coordinator

"I came from a marketing background with no project experience, and the four domains finally made the whole thing click. The agile sessions were the difference in my interview, and I started as a project coordinator at a Sofia software company two months after passing."

The Practice Questions Prepared Me Properly

"The mock exams matched the real paper closely, especially the situational questions. Pacing 150 questions in three hours was what I was most worried about, and the timed practice took that fear away completely."

Gave Me the Language of Delivery

"As a recent graduate I had the theory but none of the language. Earned value, work breakdown structures and backlog refinement stopped being jargon after this course. My status reports are now something my lead actually reads."

Fixed the Foundation for Our Graduate Intake

"We put our entire graduate delivery intake through the programme. Within a quarter our project reporting was consistent across teams and our senior managers spent far less time correcting plans. The trainer tailored the examples to our nearshore client work."

Flexible Scheduling That Respected Client Work

"Scheduling was the reason we chose Invensis Learning. They ran the sessions as half days so our people stayed available to clients, and the group reporting gave me exactly what I needed for our L&D review."

    General

Is the CAPM worth it if I am starting a project career in Bulgaria?

Yes, because it is the only PMI credential that needs no project work experience, so it solves the experience trap for newcomers. It maps to coordinator, PMO support and junior project manager roles, where Bulgarian project coordinator pay averages around EUR 23,300 gross a year and project manager bands reach higher.

    What is the CAPM certification?

The CAPM is the Project Management Institute's entry-level project management credential. It proves you understand the fundamental knowledge, terminology and processes of effective project delivery across predictive, agile and hybrid approaches, and it is designed for people with little or no project management experience.

    Who should take this course?

Students, recent graduates, career changers and project team members who support delivery without yet leading it. It also suits coordinators and administrators who want a recognised credential before stepping up, and professionals building toward PMP while they accumulate experience.

Is the CAPM recognised by employers in Bulgaria?

Yes. As a PMI credential it carries recognition through PMI's network across more than 200 countries, and Bulgaria's software, outsourcing, banking and EU-funded programme employers treat it as credible evidence of project knowledge for early-career delivery roles.

How is the CAPM different from the PMP?

The CAPM is entry level and needs only a secondary degree plus 23 hours of project management education. PMP is the advanced credential and requires 36 to 60 months of leading projects plus 35 contact hours. CAPM is the natural first PMI credential while you build toward PMP eligibility.

How long is the certification valid?

Three years from the date of certification. Unlike PMP and PMI-ACP, the CAPM is renewed by retaking and passing the exam within the three-year cycle rather than by earning PDUs.

    Pricing

What is included in the CAPM training fee?

The fee covers 24 hours of instructor-led training, PMI-aligned courseware, industry case studies, practice questions and mock exams, guidance on the PMI application, and post-training support. Training fees are quoted in euro for Bulgaria and are available on request. Request a quote and an advisor will confirm what applies to your enrolment.

How much does CAPM certification training in Bulgaria cost?

Pricing depends on the format you choose, live virtual, classroom or corporate group delivery, and is available on request in euro following Bulgaria's changeover on 1 January 2026. Talk to a learning advisor for a quote against your preferred schedule.

Is the PMI exam fee included in the course price?

The exam is purchased separately through PMI. PMI bills the CAPM exam fee in US dollars under regional pricing, with a lower rate for PMI members than for non-members, and membership also gives you free access to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition. Confirm current fees on pmi.org before you apply.

Do you offer group or corporate pricing for teams?

Yes. Group pricing is available for graduate intakes, PMO support layers and whole business units, with schedules built around your delivery commitments. Ask about corporate pricing and we will quote against your headcount and preferred format.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and instalment options are available on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that fits you.

    Exam

What happens if I do not pass the exam on the first attempt?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility window, so a first attempt is not your only chance. Re-examination fees apply to later attempts. Our mock exams and trainer guidance are designed to get you through first time, and post-training support continues while you prepare.

What does the CAPM exam cover?

Four domains from the CAPM Examination Content Outline effective January 2023: Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts, Predictive Plan-Based Methodologies, Agile Frameworks and Methodologies, and Business Analysis Frameworks. Roughly half the paper covers predictive delivery and half covers agile and hybrid approaches.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

150 multiple-choice questions in three hours, or 180 minutes. The exam is closed book and includes both single-answer and multiple-answer question formats.

Is there a fixed passing score?

No. PMI sets the pass mark through psychometric analysis rather than publishing a fixed percentage. You receive a pass or fail result with performance feedback per domain, reported as Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for solid command of all four domains.

Where can I sit the exam in Bulgaria?

Either online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring system from home or the office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. You schedule the exam through Pearson VUE or PMI's portal once your application is approved.

Which standard and edition is the exam based on?

The exam follows PMI's CAPM Examination Content Outline effective January 2023, which is aligned to the PMBOK Guide Eighth Edition and the Agile Practice Guide. Our courseware is mapped to the same sources.

What is the exam application process?

Create a PMI account, submit the online application documenting your secondary degree and 23 hours of project management education, and wait for approval, typically within five business days for applications not selected for audit. Then pay the exam fee and schedule through Pearson VUE within your one-year eligibility window.

    Course Content

Can a complete beginner take this course?

Yes, and beginners are exactly who it is built for. No project management work experience is required, and the trainer starts from first principles: what a project is, how a life cycle works, and who does what. Case studies and practice questions turn the theory into something you can use.

What will I learn in the CAPM training?

You will learn to plan and control predictive projects with work breakdown structures, critical path scheduling and earned value, to work inside Scrum and Kanban teams, to run business analysis from needs assessment to solution evaluation, and to report project performance clearly.

How long is the training and how is it scheduled?

The programme runs for 24 contact hours. You can take it as intensive full days, as six-hour days, or as extended half-day sessions if you need to stay available for work, so the number of days varies with the format you choose.

Does this course meet the 23-hour education requirement?

Yes. The 24-hour programme exceeds PMI's 23-hour project management education prerequisite and fully satisfies it. It qualifies as an instructor-led CAPM course delivered by a PMI Authorized Training Partner.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. You get practice questions mapped to the four domains and timed mock exams built around the 150-question, three-hour closed-book format, so you can find weak areas before exam day rather than during it.

Is the courseware aligned to the current syllabus?

Yes. The material follows the CAPM Examination Content Outline effective January 2023 and the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition, along with the Agile Practice Guide, which is what the current exam is built on.

    Enrollment

How soon can I start and how do I enrol?

You can enrol online and join the next available batch, in live virtual sessions or classroom delivery. Choose your format, complete payment, and you receive schedules, courseware and learning resources straight away. See upcoming batches or talk to a learning advisor to pick a start date.

Do I need any qualifications to enrol?

No prerequisites apply to the training itself. To sit the PMI exam you need a secondary degree, such as a high school diploma or global equivalent, plus 23 hours of project management education, which this course provides. No project work experience is required.

What training formats are available in Bulgaria?

Live virtual instructor-led training online, classroom sessions, focused one-to-one coaching, and corporate group training delivered onsite at your offices in Sofia, Plovdiv or Varna. Weekday and weekend schedules are available depending on the batch.

Can I reschedule or move to another batch?

Yes. You can reschedule or transfer to a later batch, and selected plans include a retake option so you can attend the training again. Contact support and we will arrange it.

What support do I get after the training ends?

You keep access to your learning resources and can reach our team by email with questions while you prepare and complete the PMI application. Trainers and support staff stay available through the run-up to your exam.
