What the Business Analysis Foundation and Practitioner Certification CoversTwo Levels, One Complete Pathway

The Business Analysis Foundation and Practitioner Certification (BA F&P) is a combined, two-level qualification that validates both your knowledge of business analysis and your ability to apply it in real project scenarios. This Business Analysis Certification Training in Chile prepares you for two separate EXIN examinations, both developed in partnership with BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, and aligned to the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BCS BoK). The Foundation level builds comprehension across 14 topic areas, from investigation techniques and stakeholder analysis to requirements engineering, business process modelling and the business case. The Practitioner level then tests how well you apply those techniques through seven scenario-based topic areas, so you leave able to do the work, not just describe it. With Chilean banks, retailers and mining groups investing heavily in digital transformation, business analysts who can bridge business needs and technical delivery are in strong demand. The combined programme suits newcomers, IT professionals moving into analysis, and practising analysts who want a recognised credential. Both certifications are for lifetime, with no renewal required. Start your business analysis journey with Invensis Learning.

Invensis Learning is an EXIN Accredited Training Provider in Chile, approved to deliver official Business Analysis training using EXIN-aligned courseware and the EXIN Business Analysis Certification Examination Content Outline(ECO).

    General

What are the Business Analysis Foundation and Practitioner certifications?

They are a combined, two-level qualification from EXIN, developed in partnership with BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. The Foundation level validates knowledge of business analysis concepts, while the Practitioner level validates your ability to apply BA techniques in realistic project scenarios. Both are aligned to the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge.

Is the business analysis certification worth it in Chile?

Yes. Business analysts in Chile earn around CLP 27.9M on average, with senior analysts reaching higher, and demand for data and analysis skills outstrips supply. A recognised, BCS-quality-assured credential helps you stand out with banking, retail, mining and IT employers hiring analysts now.

Who should take this business analysis training?

It suits people new to business analysis, IT professionals moving into a BA role, project managers adding requirements skills, and practising analysts who want to formalise their experience. The Foundation level has no prerequisites, so it is open to all.

Do the certifications expire or need renewal?

No. Both the EXIN BCS Foundation and Practitioner certifications are for lifetime. Neither credential expires, and there is no renewal fee or continuing education requirement to maintain them.

    Are these certifications recognised internationally?

Yes. EXIN operates in over 165 countries and BCS is the UK's chartered professional body for IT. The combined credential is recognised in Chile and worldwide, with particularly strong standing across the UK, Commonwealth, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

Are there prerequisites for the exams?

The Foundation exam has no formal prerequisites and is open to all. The EXIN BCS Foundation Certificate is the recommended prerequisite for the Practitioner exam, which is why the combined programme covers both levels in sequence.

Where can I sit the EXIN BCS exams?

You can take both exams online through EXIN's online proctored exam system, or at an EXIN accredited testing location. They are usually arranged through your accredited training provider as part of the combined training and exam bundle.

You can re-sit a failed exam. Our trainers provide first-attempt guidance, mock exams and revision support to help you prepare thoroughly for both levels. Verify the current re-sit policy and any re-examination fee with EXIN before booking.

    Course Content

What topics are covered in the training?

The Foundation content spans 14 topic areas, including investigation techniques, stakeholder analysis, business process modelling, requirements engineering and the business case. The Practitioner content covers 7 applied topic areas that test how you use those techniques in real scenarios.

Can a beginner take this course?

Yes. The Foundation level assumes no prior business analysis knowledge and has no prerequisites, so beginners and career changers are welcome. The programme then builds you up to Practitioner level with guided practice and worked scenarios.

Which standard is the training based on?

The training follows the current EXIN BCS Foundation and Practitioner Examination Specifications, both aligned to the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BCS BoK) and developed in partnership with BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?
