What Is the Business Analysis Foundation & Practitioner Certification?Your Complete Route into Business Analysis

The Business Analysis Foundation and Practitioner (BA F&P) certification training in Denmark is a combined programme that takes you from foundational business analysis knowledge to the applied techniques practising analysts use on live projects. Awarded by EXIN in partnership with BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, and aligned to the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BCS BoK), it validates both what you know and how you apply it. The route covers two internationally recognised credentials, the EXIN BCS Foundation Certificate and the EXIN BCS Practitioner Certificate, so you leave with a complete, employer-valued qualification rather than a single certificate. You learn investigation, requirements engineering, business and process modelling, stakeholder management and business-case development, all mapped to the official EXIN BCS Examination Specifications. For professionals in Denmark, where banks, life-sciences firms and tech employers compete for analytical talent amid a widening IT skills gap, BA F&P is a clear way to prove your capability. Start your business analysis journey with Invensis Learning and move from learning to certified with a structured, supported path.

Invensis Learning is an EXIN Accredited Training Provider in Denmark, approved to deliver official Business Analysis training using EXIN-aligned courseware and the EXIN Business Analysis Certification Examination Content Outline(ECO).

    General

What is the Business Analysis Foundation and Practitioner certification?

It is a combined route to two credentials, the EXIN BCS Foundation Certificate in Business Analysis and the EXIN BCS Practitioner Certificate in Business Analysis Practice. Awarded by EXIN in partnership with BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, it validates both business analysis knowledge and applied skill, aligned to the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge.

Is the BA F&P certification worth it in Denmark?

Yes. Business analysis is in strong demand across Danish finance, life sciences, shipping, energy and tech, with analyst roles averaging around kr 910,000 and senior roles exceeding kr 1.1M. A BCS-quality-assured, dual-level credential helps you stand out in a market facing a wide IT skills gap.

Who should take this business analysis course?

It suits aspiring business analysts, IT and project professionals, product owners, and practising analysts who want to formalise their skills. The Foundation level needs no prior experience, while the Practitioner level applies techniques to realistic project scenarios.

Do the EXIN BCS Business Analysis certifications expire?

No. Both the Foundation and Practitioner certifications are for lifetime. Neither credential expires and there is no renewal, re-examination or continuing education requirement once you have passed.

Is the certification recognised in Denmark and internationally?

Yes. EXIN operates in over 165 countries and BCS is a globally recognised professional body for IT. The combined EXIN BCS credential is well recognised across Denmark, Europe, the UK, Asia and the Middle East, making it highly portable.

    Pricing

What is included in the BA F&P course fee?

The fee typically includes official EXIN BCS aligned courseware, case studies, practice questions and mock exams for both levels, first-attempt guidance and learner support. Exam voucher inclusion is confirmed at enrolment. Request a quote for the current package.

What payment methods and instalment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

How many exams are in the combined programme?

There are two separate EXIN exams: the Foundation exam and the Practitioner exam. You must pass both to hold both credentials. The Foundation is usually sat first, followed by the scenario-based Practitioner exam.

What is the format of the Foundation and Practitioner exams?

The Foundation exam has 40 closed-book, single-answer multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes. The Practitioner exam also has 40 closed-book questions in 60 minutes, but they are scenario-based and test how you apply BA techniques to realistic project situations.

What is the passing score for the exams?

The passing score is 65% for both exams, which is 26 out of 40 questions correct. The same threshold applies to the Foundation and the Practitioner exam.

Do I need to pass Foundation before the Practitioner exam?

The EXIN BCS Foundation Certificate is the recommended prerequisite for the Practitioner level. The Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to all, so the combined programme takes you through both in sequence.

Where and how do I sit the EXIN exams?

You can sit both exams online through EXIN's online proctored system or at an EXIN accredited testing location. They are typically arranged through your accredited training provider as part of the combined package.

What if I do not pass an exam on the first attempt?

Our trainers provide first-attempt guidance, mock exams and practice questions to prepare you thoroughly for both levels. If a resit is needed, EXIN re-examination applies per its policy; ask us about retake support options on your plan.

    Course Content

Do I need prior experience to take this course?

No prior experience is required for the Foundation level, which is open to all. The programme builds your knowledge from the basics before moving into the applied Practitioner techniques, so beginners and career changers are well supported.

What topics does the training cover?

The Foundation covers 14 topic areas, from investigation techniques and requirements to process modelling, stakeholder management, strategy analysis and business cases. The Practitioner covers seven applied areas that test these techniques in realistic project scenarios.
