Why PRINCE2 Skills Are in Demand Across Denmark

    Public-Sector Digitalisation Push

Denmark's National Strategy for Digitalization and a DKK 2bn government investment are expanding public IT projects, creating strong demand for managers who can govern delivery to a recognised standard.

    PRINCE2 builds governed, stage-managed delivery

    Green Transition at Scale

Offshore wind and energy programmes led by Danish developers demand structured planning, risk aggregation and stage control, the exact governance PRINCE2 Practitioner is built to apply.

PRINCE2 builds risk and control capability

    Certified Project Talent Shortage

Denmark faces thousands of unfilled IT and project roles and a projected specialist shortfall by 2030, making professionals with a recognised project method scarce and sought after.

PRINCE2 makes your method skills stand out

    Global Delivery, One Method

Danish multinationals in shipping, pharma and manufacturing run projects across many countries, and a shared, tailorable method removes the inconsistency that causes rework and delay.

PRINCE2 gives teams a common language

    Regulatory Change in Finance

Banks and insurers in Denmark run continuous compliance and transformation projects where weak governance leaks value, so employers increasingly hire certified project leaders to fix it.

PRINCE2 builds change and business-case control

    Sustainability and ESG Pressure

Danish organisations must build ESG into delivery, and PRINCE2 7 now embeds sustainability in the business case and plans, so trained managers can meet reporting expectations.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

PRINCE2 Practitioner is the advanced qualification that validates your ability to apply and tailor PRINCE2 principles, practices and processes to real project scenarios. Governed by AXELOS and awarded by PeopleCert, it is based on the PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023) and is designed for project managers who lead projects using the method.

    General

What is the PRINCE2 Practitioner certification?

PRINCE2 Practitioner is the advanced qualification that validates your ability to apply and tailor PRINCE2 principles, practices and processes to real project scenarios. Governed by AXELOS and awarded by PeopleCert, it is based on the PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023) and is designed for project managers who lead projects using the method.

Who should take PRINCE2 Practitioner training in Denmark?

It suits practising and aspiring project managers, PRINCE2 Foundation holders advancing their skills, and PMP or CAPM holders diversifying their credentials. In Denmark it is valued across pharma, shipping, energy, banking, IT and the public sector, where structured project governance is expected.

Is PRINCE2 Practitioner worth it in Denmark?

Yes. PRINCE2 is a widely recognised method in Denmark and the wider Nordic and EU markets, and certified project leaders are in demand as the country invests in digitalisation and the green transition. Senior project manager roles average around 780,000 kr per year, with programme roles reaching higher. Talk to a learning advisor to plan your path.

What are the prerequisites for PRINCE2 Practitioner?

You need PRINCE2 Foundation certification, or an accepted equivalent such as PMP, CAPM or IPMA Level A/B/C/D. There is no formal work experience requirement, though the credential is designed for practising or aspiring project managers.

How long is the PRINCE2 Practitioner certification valid?

PRINCE2 Practitioner is valid for three years. You renew it by retaking and passing the Practitioner exam, by completing CPD through a PeopleCert MyAxelos subscription, or by passing a higher-level PRINCE2 qualification.

    Pricing

How much does PRINCE2 Practitioner training cost in Denmark?

Training is priced by format and whether the exam is bundled, so the fee is available on request in DKK. Instructor-led and corporate options differ, and PeopleCert bills the exam under regional pricing. Request a quote for current pricing and batches.

What is included in the PRINCE2 course fee?

The training fee typically includes accredited courseware aligned to PRINCE2 7, scenario-based practice, mock exams, open-book exam technique sessions, learner support and a course completion record. Exam vouchers are often included in accredited packages; confirm when you enrol.

Is the exam fee included in the training price?

It depends on the package. Many accredited training options bundle the PeopleCert exam voucher, while others price it separately under regional pricing. Ask a learning advisor which option includes the exam so you can compare total cost.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for PMOs, delivery teams and departments across Denmark. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam?

It is an open-book, scenario-based objective test. The PRINCE2 Managing Successful Projects manual is permitted, and questions require analysis and judgment rather than simple recall. It is delivered online via PeopleCert OnVUE proctoring or at an authorised test centre.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The exam has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks, and you have 150 minutes (2 hours 30 minutes) to complete it. Questions are scenario-based across the nine PRINCE2 7 Practitioner syllabus areas.

What is the passing score for PRINCE2 Practitioner?

You must achieve 60%, which is 42 out of 70 marks, to pass. Because it is open book and scenario-based, deep method knowledge and efficient manual navigation both matter.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

You may use the PRINCE2 Managing Successful Projects (7th Edition) manual during the exam. However, questions require you to apply and tailor the method to a scenario, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient navigation and real understanding are both essential.

What if I do not pass on the first attempt?

You can resit the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam. Our training includes mock exams, scenario practice and exam-technique support to help you prepare thoroughly the first time, and we can guide you on rebooking through PeopleCert if a resit is needed.

    Course Content

What topics does the PRINCE2 Practitioner training cover?

The training covers all nine PRINCE2 7 Practitioner syllabus areas: the principles, the seven practices, the seven processes, key roles and responsibilities, people management, sustainability and ESG, digital and data management, effective communication, and tailoring the method to your needs.

Is the courseware aligned to the latest edition?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023) and the current PeopleCert PRINCE2 7 Practitioner syllabus, including the People capability, sustainability and digital data management updates introduced in PRINCE2 7.

Do I need prior experience to take this course?

You need PRINCE2 Foundation or an accepted equivalent such as PMP or CAPM before the Practitioner exam. No formal work experience is required, and the training is structured to take Foundation-level knowledge up to confident, tailored application.

    What learning resources are provided?

You receive accredited PRINCE2 7 courseware, scenario-based exercises, full-length mock exams, practice questions and open-book exam-technique guidance, plus trainer support to reinforce how the method is applied at work.

What is new in PRINCE2 7 compared with PRINCE2 6?

PRINCE2 7 (2023) introduces People capability as a core element, renames Themes to Practices, and adds commercial management, sustainability, and digital and data management. It also updates the management products and integrates agile considerations.
