Why Danish Teams Need Observability Skills Now

    Cloud-Native Complexity

Danish enterprises run multi-cloud, microservices estates where traditional monitoring goes blind. Observability-literate engineers are needed to keep these distributed systems understandable.

    OBSF builds distributed-systems observability skills

    A Widening IT Talent Gap

Around 32% of Danish companies have paused IT hiring because they cannot find qualified people. Certified observability skills let teams build reliability capability internally.

OBSF helps teams close the skills gap from within

    From Monitoring to Observability

Dashboards show teams that something broke, not why. Employers want practitioners who can correlate metrics, logs and traces to cut mean time to resolution.

    OBSF builds root-cause analysis capability

    Reliability as a Business Risk

In pharma, banking and shipping, downtime carries real regulatory and revenue cost. Observability practice protects the service levels these Danish sectors depend on.

OBSF builds SLI, SLO and error-budget skills

    Green-Tech Data Platforms Scaling

Orsted, Vestas and energy-data platforms are growing fast, adding telemetry-heavy systems that demand SLOs, smart alerting and observability-as-code.

OBSF builds telemetry and alerting discipline

    Tool Sprawl Without a Framework

Teams adopt Prometheus, Grafana and OpenTelemetry piecemeal. A shared foundation turns scattered tooling into reliable, actionable insight.

How much does Observability Foundation training cost in Denmark?

What is the format of the Observability Foundation exam?

The exam is open book with single-answer, multiple-choice questions. It is delivered online with PeopleCert proctoring or at an authorised test centre, and is based on the current DevOps Institute Observability Foundation exam blueprint.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The Observability Foundation exam has 40 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 60 minutes. It is an open-book paper, so time management and familiarity with the body of knowledge both matter.

What is the passing score for Observability Foundation?

You need 65% to pass, which is 26 out of 40 questions correct. The training focuses on broad understanding across all six modules so you are ready for questions from every topic area.

How and where do I take the exam?

You can sit the exam online with PeopleCert OnVUE proctoring from home or office, or at an authorised test centre. After training you register through the DevOps Institute or your provider; our team can guide you through booking.

Which standard is the OBSF exam based on?

The exam is based on the current DevOps Institute Observability Foundation Body of Knowledge and exam blueprint, covering the three pillars, tooling, OpenTelemetry, SLIs, SLOs and organisational practices. Our courseware is aligned to that latest blueprint.

    Course Content

Do I need prior experience to take this course?

No prior experience is required. The course starts from observability fundamentals and builds up, so beginners are welcome. Some familiarity with DevOps or IT operations helps you get more from the tooling and SLO sections but is not essential.

What topics does the Observability Foundation training cover?

The 16-hour programme covers six modules: observability principles and the three pillars; metrics, logs and distributed tracing; SLIs, SLOs, SLAs and error budgets; OpenTelemetry and telemetry pipelines; alerting and incident response; and SRE, AIOps and exam preparation.

What is observability and how does it differ from monitoring?

Observability is the ability to understand a system's internal state from its external outputs. Monitoring tells you when something is wrong; observability helps you understand why, including novel failures you did not predict. The three pillars are metrics, logs and traces.

What is OpenTelemetry and why does it matter?

OpenTelemetry (OTel) is the vendor-neutral CNCF standard for collecting metrics, logs and traces from software systems. It is the de facto instrumentation framework, and the course shows how its SDKs, collectors and pipelines fit a modern observability stack.

    What learning materials are included?

You receive DevOps Institute-aligned courseware, real-world case studies, practice questions and mock exams mapped to the 40-question format. Materials support both instructor-led sessions and your own revision before the exam.
