Is the Minitab software licence included in the price?

Assessment

Is there an exam for Minitab Essentials Training?

No. This is a non-certification, skills-focused course with no examination. Your learning is reinforced through live, hands-on Minitab exercises across the day rather than a formal test.

Do I receive a certificate after the training?

You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning. No formal certification is awarded by an external body, because the programme builds practical software skills rather than preparing you for a credential exam.

How is my progress assessed during the course?

There is no formal assessment. You practise each technique through hands-on Minitab exercises on realistic quality datasets, so you build proficiency by doing the analysis yourself alongside the trainer.

Will I be able to use Minitab confidently afterwards?

Yes. By the end you can navigate Minitab independently and produce descriptive statistics, graphs, hypothesis tests, control charts, capability studies, regression models and Gauge R&R analyses on your own data.

Is this a good foundation for a Six Sigma programme?

It is. The course is strong preparation or a companion for Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Black Belt training, giving you the Minitab skills used to perform the statistical analyses those programmes teach.

Course Content

What will I learn in Minitab Essentials Training?

You will learn to import and manage data, create quality graphs, run hypothesis tests, build and interpret control charts, perform process capability analysis, and carry out regression and Gauge R&R studies, all live in Minitab.

Which control charts and capability tools are covered?

The course covers I-MR, Xbar-R, P and C control charts with the Western Electric rules, plus capability analysis for normal and non-normal data, the Cp, Cpk, Pp and Ppk indices and the Capability Sixpack report.

Which statistical tests will I practise?

You will practise normality testing, 1-sample, 2-sample and paired t-tests, one-way ANOVA with Tukey comparisons, and the chi-square test for association, interpreting each result in Minitab.

Do I need Minitab installed before attending?

Yes. Because the course is hands-on, you should have Minitab statistical software installed on your device before the session. Check with our team about software access and version requirements when you enrol.

Can I use my own datasets during the training?

In corporate and group sessions, yes, you can work with your own organisation's process data, which makes the exercises directly relevant. Public sessions use realistic quality datasets provided as part of the course.
