This Change Management certification training in Barcelona prepares you for both the Foundation and Practitioner exams in one guided programme, aligned to the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) from the Change Management Institute and the current Change Management Practitioner Guide. Foundation builds your knowledge of core change models, including ADKAR, Bridges' Transition Model, Lewin, Kotter's 8-Step Model and McKinsey 7-S. Practitioner develops your ability to apply those models to realistic organisational change scenarios through an open-book, scenario-based exam. The 40-hour programme suits change managers, project and programme managers, HR business partners, and consultants across Barcelona's fast-growing technology, pharmaceutical, consulting and financial-services employers. Start your change management journey with Invensis Learning and move from study to two recognised credentials with a clear, supported path.

    General

Is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification worth it?

Yes. It validates your ability to lead the people side of change and is recognised internationally, including across Barcelona's technology, pharmaceutical, consulting and banking employers. Change manager roles in Barcelona average around €69,600 per year, and certified practitioners are increasingly sought after as transformation demand grows.

What is Change Management Foundation and Practitioner?

A two-level qualification covering the models and practices for managing the people side of organisational change. Foundation validates your knowledge; Practitioner validates your ability to apply change approaches to realistic scenarios. It aligns to the CMBoK and current Practitioner Guide.

    Who should take this certification?

It suits change managers, project and programme managers, HR business partners, organisational development practitioners, consultants and leaders who sponsor or support change. In Barcelona it is popular with professionals in tech, pharma, consulting and financial services.

Do I need prior experience or prerequisites?

No formal prerequisites are needed for Foundation, which is open to all. To sit the Practitioner exam you must first hold the Change Management Foundation certification, which this combined programme prepares you for.

How does this compare to a Prosci certification?

This qualification is exam-based and covers a broad range of change models such as ADKAR, Kotter, Lewin and McKinsey 7-S, with no experience prerequisite. Prosci focuses on the Prosci and ADKAR methodology through programme completion. Both are globally recognised and serve complementary purposes.

    Pricing

What is included in the course fee?

The training fee typically includes syllabus-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, case studies, learner support and guidance for both exams. Exam voucher inclusion varies, so confirm the current package when you enrol. Request a quote for details.

How much does Change Management training cost in Barcelona?

Pricing depends on the delivery format you choose, such as live virtual, classroom or corporate group training. Fees for combined Foundation and Practitioner programmes are available on request, and group rates apply for teams. Talk to a learning advisor for current pricing.

Are the exam fees included in the training price?

Exam voucher inclusion depends on the package. Some packages bundle the Foundation and Practitioner exam vouchers, while others price them separately. Confirm exactly what is included before you enrol so there are no surprises.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for transformation offices, project teams and HR functions in Barcelona. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the two exams?

The Foundation exam is closed book with 50 multiple-choice questions in 40 minutes; the pass mark is 50%, meaning 25 out of 50 correct. The Practitioner exam is open book and scenario-based, with 5 sections worth 16 marks each (80 marks total) in 2.5 hours; the pass mark is 50%, meaning 40 out of 80 marks.

How many exams are there in the combined programme?

There are two separate exams. You must sit and pass both the Foundation exam and the Practitioner exam to hold both credentials. The combined 40-hour programme prepares you for both, end to end.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

The Change Management Practitioner Guide is permitted during the Practitioner exam. However, the scenario-based sections require analysis and judgment, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient guide navigation and deep method knowledge are both essential, and we practise this in the programme.

How and where do I take the exams?

Exams are delivered via online proctoring or at an authorised test centre, typically at the end of each level of training. Your trainer will guide you on scheduling and what to expect on exam day.

What if I do not pass the first time?

You can re-sit the exam. Our trainers provide first-attempt guidance, mock exams and targeted practice to help you pass, and can advise on the re-sit process if needed. Confirm current re-sit terms when you enrol.

    Course Content

You will learn ADKAR, Bridges' Transition Model, Lewin's Three-Step Model, Kotter's 8-Step Model, McKinsey 7-S, Schein's culture model, Goleman's emotional intelligence and Cialdini's principles of influence, and how to apply them in practice.

Can a beginner take this course?
