What Is Fuelling PRINCE2 Demand Across Finland

    ICT Skills Shortage

Finland needs around 130,000 new IT professionals by 2030, yet delivery capacity lags demand. Method-certified PRINCE2 project managers help close that gap and keep programmes on track.

    PRINCE2 builds structured delivery skills

    Digital Transformation at Scale

Most Finnish organisations are transforming, but many lack a consistent method. PRINCE2 7 gives teams the governance and tailoring to deliver change reliably and on budget.

    PRINCE2 brings governance to change

    Complex Multi-Vendor Delivery

Finnish tech, telecom and energy firms run projects across many partners. PRINCE2 defined roles and stage control bring order to distributed, multi-vendor delivery.

    PRINCE2 clarifies roles and control

    Project Failure and Value Leakage

Weak business cases and poor control cause overruns. PRINCE2 continued business justification and manage-by-exception discipline protect budgets and expected benefits.

    PRINCE2 protects budgets and benefits

    Sustainability and ESG Pressure

EU reporting and Finland's climate goals push ESG into projects. PRINCE2 7 integrates sustainability, helping leaders build it into plans and decisions.

Public Sector and EU Tender Rules

PRINCE2 is widely preferred across EU and public sector procurement. Certified professionals help Finnish organisations meet governance expectations in tenders.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner is a combined project management qualification owned by AXELOS and examined by PeopleCert. Foundation validates your knowledge of the method, while Practitioner proves you can apply and tailor it. Both are based on PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023).

    General

What is the PRINCE2 Foundation & Practitioner certification?

PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner is a combined project management qualification owned by AXELOS and examined by PeopleCert. Foundation validates your knowledge of the method, while Practitioner proves you can apply and tailor it. Both are based on PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023).

Is PRINCE2 worth it for professionals in Finland?

Yes. PRINCE2 is one of the most requested project management credentials across Finland and the EU, valued by tech, energy, finance and public sector employers. With a widening ICT skills shortage, certified project professionals are in strong demand. Talk to a learning advisor to start.

Who should take this PRINCE2 course?

It suits aspiring and practising project managers, project team members, and PMP or CAPM holders working in PRINCE2 environments. Foundation has no prerequisites, so beginners and experienced professionals alike can start.

Which edition does the training cover?

The training is fully aligned to PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023), which introduces the People capability, renames Themes to Practices, and integrates agile and sustainability considerations across the method.

How long is the PRINCE2 certification valid?

Both PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner are valid for three years. Practitioner can be renewed by retaking the exam, completing CPD via a MyAxelos subscription, or passing a higher PRINCE2 qualification.

    Who governs the PRINCE2 certification?

PRINCE2 is owned by AXELOS, which was acquired by PeopleCert in 2021. PeopleCert publishes the syllabus and delivers both exams online or at authorised test centres worldwide.

    Pricing

How much does PRINCE2 training cost in Finland?

PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner training fees vary by format and provider and are available on request. The PeopleCert exam fees are billed separately. Contact us for a tailored quote or to ask about corporate pricing.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes accredited courseware, instructor-led sessions, practice questions, mock exams, an exam simulator and learner support. Exam vouchers are often bundled in accredited packages, so confirm inclusions when you enrol.

Are the exam fees included in the price?

Exam vouchers are commonly included in accredited combined packages, though this varies by provider. PeopleCert sets exam pricing by region and channel. Ask a learning advisor to confirm exactly what your package covers.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for teams and project offices across Finland. Contact us for a group quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the PRINCE2 exams?

There are two exams. Foundation is closed book with 60 multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes. Practitioner is open book with 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks over 150 minutes, using scenario-based objective questions.

What is the passing score for each exam?

Both exams require 60%. Foundation needs 36 of 60 questions correct, and Practitioner needs 42 of 70 marks. Both are based on the PRINCE2 7 syllabus.

What are the prerequisites for the exams?

PRINCE2 Foundation has no prerequisites. The Practitioner exam requires PRINCE2 Foundation, or an accepted equivalent such as PMP, CAPM or IPMA Level A to D.

How and where can I take the exams?

You can sit both exams online through PeopleCert's proctored system, available 24/7, or at an authorised test centre. They are usually arranged as part of the combined training package.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

The PRINCE2 Managing Successful Projects 7th Edition manual is permitted during the Practitioner exam. You can refer to it, but time management matters because the questions require analysis and judgement, not just look-up.

How many exams are in the combined programme?

Two separate exams. You must pass both the Foundation and the Practitioner exam to hold both credentials, and they are typically taken across the four-day combined programme.

    Course Content

What topics does the PRINCE2 training cover?

The training covers the seven PRINCE2 principles, the People capability, the seven practices (Business Case, Organizing, Plans, Quality, Risk, Issues, Progress) and the seven processes, plus tailoring and exam technique.

    What learning resources are provided?

You receive accredited courseware aligned to PRINCE2 7, practice questions, full-length mock exams, an exam simulator, templates and chapter-wise quizzes to support your preparation.

Can a beginner take this course?

Yes. Foundation is designed for those new to PRINCE2 and has no prerequisites. The training builds from the basics before moving into applying and tailoring the method at Practitioner level.

Is the courseware aligned to the latest syllabus?

Yes. All content is aligned to PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023) and the current PeopleCert Foundation and Practitioner syllabus.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams and an exam simulator to help you identify weak areas and build readiness for both exams.

    Enrollment

How do I enrol in the PRINCE2 course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. See upcoming batches to get started.

    What training formats are available?

We offer online (live virtual) instructor-led training, classroom training, and customised corporate group training, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule in Finland.

    How soon can I start?

New live online cohorts run regularly, and self-paced access starts immediately on enrolment. Contact a learning advisor to see the next available batches for Finland.

Can I reschedule or transfer to another batch?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or transfer to another batch, and selected plans include a pass to attend the training twice. Contact support to arrange this.

What is the refund or cancellation policy?

Refunds and cancellations follow our published policy, and selected plans include a money-back guarantee. Reach out to our team for the details that apply to your enrolment.
