Course Content

What topics does the AWS DevOps course cover?

The course covers DevOps principles and the AWS ecosystem, source control and CI with CodeCommit and CodeBuild, continuous delivery with CodeDeploy and CodePipeline, infrastructure as code with CloudFormation and the AWS CDK, containers with Amazon ECS and EKS, and monitoring and DevSecOps with CloudWatch.

Is the training hands-on or just theory?

It is hands-on throughout. You follow along using the AWS Console and CLI as the trainer demonstrates each service and pipeline, and you practise building repositories, pipelines, CloudFormation stacks, container deployments and CloudWatch dashboards in realistic scenarios.

How long is the AWS DevOps Training?

The programme is delivered as an intensive one-day, eight-hour course covering all six modules, and can also run as two half-days. Corporate schedules can be adjusted to fit your team's availability.

Does the course cover containers and Kubernetes on AWS?

Yes. You learn to build and store Docker images in Amazon ECR and deploy containers on Amazon ECS, including Fargate, and on Amazon EKS, AWS's managed Kubernetes service, along with the container CI/CD pattern from CodeCommit through to deployment.

Will I learn about security in the DevOps pipeline?

Yes. The DevSecOps content covers shifting security left with pipeline scanning, applying IAM least privilege to service roles, and managing credentials with AWS Secrets Manager and Parameter Store, so security is built into delivery rather than bolted on.

Is there an exam for this course?

No. AWS DevOps Training is a non-certification course with no examination. Learning is reinforced through hands-on AWS exercises throughout, and you receive a Course Completion Certificate from Invensis Learning on finishing.

How is my learning assessed?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, you apply each concept through practical exercises during the programme, building pipelines, templates and monitoring so you leave with demonstrable, job-ready capability rather than a test score.

What will I be able to do after completing the training?

You will be able to create AWS CodeCommit repositories, configure CodeBuild and CodeDeploy, build a full CI/CD pipeline in CodePipeline, write and deploy CloudFormation templates, deploy containers to ECS or EKS, and set up CloudWatch alarms and dashboards.

Is the Course Completion Certificate recognised by employers?
