What is the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)?

Who should take CAPM training?

CAPM training suits students, recent graduates, career changers and project team members who want a recognised first credential. No prior project management work experience is required to take the course or sit the exam.

Do I need work experience to earn the CAPM?

No. The CAPM is the only PMI credential that requires no project management work experience. You need a secondary degree (high school diploma or global equivalent) and 23 hours of project management education, which this training provides.

How long is the CAPM valid and how do I renew it?

The CAPM is valid for three years. Unlike the PMP, you renew it by retaking and passing the CAPM exam within the three-year cycle, not by earning PDUs.

How much does CAPM training cost in Yokohama?

The exam covers four domains from the CAPM Examination Content Outline: Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts (36%), Predictive Plan-Based Methodologies (17%), Agile Frameworks and Methodologies (20%), and Business Analysis Frameworks (27%).

How many questions are on the CAPM exam and how long is it?

The CAPM exam has 150 questions and lasts three hours (180 minutes). It is a closed-book, multiple-choice exam with single-answer and multiple-answer question formats.

Is there a fixed passing score for the CAPM?

No fixed percentage is published. PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score and reports results with performance feedback across the four CAPM domains, so aim for broad mastery rather than a single target number.

Where can I take the CAPM exam?

You can take the exam online through Pearson VUE OnVUE proctoring from home or the office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through PMI's portal or Pearson VUE after your application is approved.

What if I do not pass the CAPM on the first attempt?
