Do I need work experience to take the CAPM?

No. CAPM is the only PMI credential that requires no project management work experience. You need a secondary school qualification and 23 hours of project management education, which this training provides in full.

Is the CAPM recognised in Mauritius?

Yes. As a PMI credential, CAPM is recognised globally, including by the multinationals and financial-services employers operating in Ebene Cybercity and Port Louis. It signals a credible grasp of project fundamentals to local and international employers.

How long is the CAPM certification valid?

The CAPM is valid for three years. You renew it by retaking and passing the CAPM exam within the cycle, rather than by earning PDUs as with some other PMI credentials.

What is included in the CAPM course fee?

How much does CAPM training cost in Mauritius?

How much is the CAPM exam fee?

For reference, PMI charges around USD 225 for members and USD 300 for non-members; verify the current fee at pmi.org, as prices are periodically updated. PMI membership costs about USD 139 a year and can reduce the exam price.

What does the CAPM exam cover?

The CAPM exam covers four domains from the Examination Content Outline effective 2023: Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts (36%), Predictive Plan-Based Methodologies (17%), Agile Frameworks and Methodologies (20%), and Business Analysis Frameworks (27%).

How many questions are on the CAPM exam and how long is it?

The CAPM exam has 150 multiple-choice questions and lasts three hours (180 minutes). It is closed book and based on the CAPM Examination Content Outline effective 2023 and the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition.

Where and how do I sit the CAPM exam?

You can take the exam online through Pearson VUE OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done after PMI approves your application, within your one-year eligibility period.

Is there a fixed passing score for the CAPM?

PMI does not publish a fixed pass mark; the passing score is set through psychometric analysis. Results are reported as pass or fail with performance feedback, so aim for broad mastery across all four CAPM domains rather than a single number.

What if I do not pass on the first attempt?

You may take up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Our trainers and practice materials focus on first-attempt readiness, so you sit the exam feeling prepared.
