    Exam

    What is the format of the two PRINCE2 Agile exams?

    The Foundation exam is closed book with 40 multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes, single-answer format. The Practitioner exam is open book with 50 scenario-based questions in 150 minutes, using the PRINCE2 Agile publication. Both are delivered online proctored or at a test centre.

    What is the passing score for each exam?

    Both exams require 60% to pass. That is 24 out of 40 correct for Foundation and 30 out of 50 correct for Practitioner. The training prepares you for the format and pass mark of each.

    What if I do not pass the first time?

    You can re-sit either exam through PeopleCert; re-sit fees and policy are confirmed at booking. Our training includes mock questions, scenario practice and exam technique to build readiness and reduce the fear of failure. Ask us about retake support options.

    What are the prerequisites for each level?

    PRINCE2 Agile Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to all. PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner requires PRINCE2 Agile Foundation, or PRINCE2 Foundation, or an accepted equivalent. The combined programme covers both levels in sequence.

    Which syllabus and standard are the exams based on?

    The programme covers the agile mindset, blending agile with PRINCE2, stakeholder engagement, agile leadership, risk and change, progress tracking, roles, scalable agility and value-driven thinking at Foundation, then tailoring, guiding delivery and governing with flexibility at Practitioner.

    Can a beginner take this course?

    Yes. Foundation has no prerequisites, so beginners can start there. Prior familiarity with Scrum or Kanban helps but is not required. The trainer builds concepts step by step before the applied Practitioner content, so learners at different levels can follow.

    How long is the combined training?

    The combined Foundation and Practitioner programme runs across a four-day format totalling 32 training hours, with the schedule adaptable to full-day or extended formats. Foundation content is covered first, followed by the applied Practitioner content.
