Is there an exam for Six Sigma Awareness Training?

No. This is a non-certification course with no examination. Learning is reinforced through interactive discussion, case study examples and team exercises during the one-day programme.

Do I receive a certification after the course?

No formal certification is awarded. On completion you receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning that recognises your attendance and the Six Sigma awareness knowledge you have gained.

Does this training qualify me to lead Six Sigma projects?

No. It is an awareness-level introduction and does not qualify you to lead DMAIC projects. To become a practitioner, progress to Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, Green Belt or Black Belt training.

How is my understanding checked during the course?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, interactive discussions and team exercises throughout the day let you apply Six Sigma concepts to your own work, so you leave able to use them in practice.

What can I do after completing the training?

What topics does the Six Sigma course cover?

The programme spans six modules: Six Sigma history and philosophy, key concepts and terminology, the DMAIC methodology, Six Sigma roles and structure, an awareness-level look at core tools, and Lean Six Sigma in practice.

What is DMAIC and is it covered?

Yes. DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, Control) is the core Six Sigma roadmap for improving existing processes, and the course walks through all five phases so you understand what happens at each stage.

Will I learn about Six Sigma tools?

Yes, at awareness level. You will be introduced to SIPOC, the Fishbone diagram, Pareto charts, control charts, Gauge R&R and process capability, enough to understand what practitioners do without needing to run the analysis yourself.

How long is the training and what format is it?

The course runs for one day (eight hours) and is available as live online, classroom and on-site corporate training. It combines concept explanations with real-world case examples and interactive discussion.
