    Tighter Compliance and In-Country Value

In-Country Value rules and stricter governance push contractors to embed formal risk registers, audits and reviews across major project programmes.

    General

Is the PMI-RMP certification worth it in Oman?

Yes. PMI-RMP is a globally recognised PMI credential that marks you as a project risk specialist. In Oman, energy, EPC, banking and government employers value it as they scale Vision 2040 projects, and certified risk professionals command strong salary bands. Talk to a learning advisor to plan your path.

    What is the PMI-RMP certification?

PMI-RMP is PMI's specialist certification in project risk management. It recognises your ability to identify project risks, analyse them, plan responses to threats and opportunities, and monitor risk across the project lifecycle. It sets risk specialists apart from general project management practitioners.

    Who should take PMI-RMP training?

The training suits risk managers, senior project managers, PMO and risk analysts, risk consultants and professionals in high-risk industries such as energy, construction, financial services and government. It is ideal for anyone specialising in project or programme risk in Oman.

    Is PMP required before PMI-RMP?

No. PMP certification is not a prerequisite for PMI-RMP. You can apply directly based on your risk management experience and education. Many PMI-RMP holders also hold PMP, as the two credentials are complementary.

How long is the PMI-RMP certification valid?

PMI-RMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 30 PDUs in risk management topics within each three-year continuing certification requirements (CCR) cycle, reported through PMI's CCR system.

    Pricing

What is included in the PMI-RMP course fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, 32 contact hours, practice questions and mock exams, exam-day preparation, guidance on documenting your risk experience for the PMI application, and learner support. Request a quote for a full breakdown.

How much does PMI-RMP training cost in Oman?

Training fees vary by format, whether live online, classroom or corporate group training, and are available on request. The PMI exam fee is billed separately by PMI and is not part of the training price. Contact a learning advisor for current pricing and batches.

No. PMI bills the PMI-RMP exam fee separately in USD under regional pricing. For reference, it is around USD 520 for PMI members and USD 670 for non-members; verify current fees at pmi.org. PMI membership can reduce the exam cost.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for risk functions, PMOs and delivery teams. Contact us for a tailored quote for your organisation.

    What payment options are available?

    Exam

What if I do not pass the PMI-RMP exam first time?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Our exam-focused practice, mock exams and domain-wise preparation are designed to help you pass with confidence; re-examination fees apply to later attempts and are confirmed by PMI.

How many questions are on the PMI-RMP exam and how long is it?

The PMI-RMP exam has 115 questions and lasts 2.5 hours (150 minutes). It is closed book with multiple-choice questions in single-answer and multiple-answer formats.

What are the PMI-RMP exam domains and weights?

Per the ECO effective January 2022, there are five domains: Risk Strategy and Planning (20%), Risk Identification (20%), Risk Analysis (23%), Risk Response (22%), and Monitor and Close Risks (15%).

Where can I take the PMI-RMP exam?

You can take the exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctored system or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through PMI's portal or the Pearson VUE website within your eligibility period.

What is the passing score for the PMI-RMP exam?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback (Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement), so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.
