Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

The CSPO is a Scrum Alliance credential that teaches the Scrum framework from the Product Owner's perspective. It is designed for aspiring product owners, product managers, business analysts and stakeholders who work with Scrum teams and want to lead product value.

    General

What is the CSPO certification and who is it for?

The CSPO is a Scrum Alliance credential that teaches the Scrum framework from the Product Owner's perspective. It is designed for aspiring product owners, product managers, business analysts and stakeholders who work with Scrum teams and want to lead product value.

Is CSPO certification worth it for product professionals in Lodz?

Yes. Product owner and related roles are in strong demand across Lodz's IT, shared services, banking and software employers, where Agile delivery is now standard. A globally recognised CSPO credential helps you stand out in a competitive, talent-short market.

Do I need experience or an exam to earn the CSPO credential?

No prior experience and no exam are required. The CSPO has no formal education or work experience prerequisite, and the credential is awarded on completing an approved course led by a Certified Scrum Trainer, making it accessible to those new to product ownership.

Which body awards the Certified Scrum Product Owner credential?

Scrum Alliance awards the CSPO credential. It is the first level of the Scrum Alliance Product Owner track, which then leads to the Advanced CSPO and Certified Scrum Professional, Product Owner credentials.

How does CSPO differ from a Scrum Master certification?

CSPO focuses on the Product Owner role, product vision, backlog management and maximising value, while a Scrum Master credential focuses on facilitating the team and the Scrum process. Both come from Scrum Alliance and address different accountabilities in a Scrum team.

    Pricing

What is included in the CSPO course fee?

The fee typically includes Scrum Alliance aligned training led by a Certified Scrum Trainer, courseware, hands-on exercises, learner support and a two-year Scrum Alliance membership with the CSPO credential and digital badge on completion. Request a quote for full inclusions.

How much does CSPO training cost in Lodz?

Pricing varies by format and schedule, so course fees are available on request. Contact a learning advisor for current pricing for live virtual or classroom training in Lodz and to compare individual and group options.

Does the fee include Scrum Alliance membership?

Yes. A two-year Scrum Alliance membership is included when you complete the approved CSPO course. Membership maintains your active credential and gives access to your digital badge and Scrum Alliance resources.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts for CSPO training?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for product squads, delivery centres and business units. Ask about corporate or group pricing for a tailored quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and instalment options are available on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Certification

Is there an exam for the CSPO certification?

No. The CSPO has no examination. The credential is awarded directly by Scrum Alliance on successful completion of an approved course delivered by a Certified Scrum Trainer, so there is no test to pass after the course.

How is the CSPO credential awarded?

After you complete the approved course, your trainer submits your details and you accept the Scrum Alliance licence agreement through your member account. Scrum Alliance then activates your CSPO credential and digital badge, with no further exam required.

How long is the CSPO certification valid and how do I renew it?

CSPO is valid for two years from the date of course completion. You renew it every two years by earning 16 Scrum Education Units (SEUs) and paying the Scrum Alliance membership renewal fee. SEUs can come from training, events, coaching and self-study.

Who is qualified to deliver the CSPO course?

Only a Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) can deliver an approved CSPO course. This ensures the training is consistent with the Scrum Alliance CSPO learning objectives. Self-study without an approved course does not qualify for the credential.

What happens after I complete the CSPO course?

You receive the CSPO credential, a two-year Scrum Alliance membership and a digital badge. You can apply your product ownership skills at work and, when ready, progress to the Advanced CSPO credential in the Scrum Alliance Product Owner track.

    Course Content

What topics are covered in the CSPO training?

The course covers Scrum theory and the Product Owner role, product vision and the Product Goal, Product Backlog management, stakeholder collaboration and value, and release planning and forecasting, all aligned to the Scrum Alliance CSPO learning objectives and the current Scrum Guide.

What will I learn about Product Backlog management?

You learn to write effective user stories, apply INVEST criteria, order the backlog by value, risk and dependencies, and run ongoing refinement. The course also covers prioritisation techniques such as MoSCoW, the Kano model and cost of delay.

Can a beginner take the CSPO course?

Yes. The CSPO has no prerequisites, so it suits beginners and those new to the Product Owner role as well as experienced professionals. The trainer-led sessions and hands-on exercises help you build practical confidence from the ground up.

Is the course aligned with the latest Scrum Guide?

Yes. The courseware aligns with the Scrum Alliance CSPO learning objectives and the current Scrum Guide, including the Product Goal as the Product Backlog commitment and the Product Owner's accountability for maximising product value.
