Why Observability Skills Are in Demand in Poland

    Cloud-Native Complexity

Polish IT services and product firms run microservices at scale, but distributed systems fail in ways traditional monitoring misses. Observability closes that visibility gap.

    Observability Foundation builds three-pillar skills

    DevOps Meets Cybersecurity

Driven by EU regulation and security pressure, Polish teams increasingly blend DevOps with log analysis, SIEM and threat monitoring, raising demand for observability know-how.

Observability Foundation builds log and telemetry skills

Reliability Pressure in Banking and Retail

Fintechs, banks and high-traffic e-commerce platforms need SLO-driven reliability, where downtime hits revenue and compliance directly and observability is the fix.

    Observability Foundation builds SLO practice

    Observability Cost and FinOps

High-cardinality telemetry is expensive. Employers want engineers who can tune OpenTelemetry pipelines and sampling to control observability spend without losing insight.

Observability Foundation builds telemetry pipeline skills

    Specialist Talent Shortage

Recruitment in 2026 is dominated by mid and senior roles, yet certified observability specialists remain scarce across Poland's 650,000-strong IT workforce.

Observability Foundation makes certified engineers stand out

    Global Delivery Standards

As a leading nearshore hub for Western Europe, Polish centres must meet global reliability expectations, making observability practice a core team capability.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

Observability Foundation (OBSF) is a vendor-neutral DevOps Institute credential that validates a foundational understanding of the concepts, practices and tools needed to implement observability in modern IT systems. It is designed for DevOps engineers, SREs, platform engineers, developers and technical leads who want to build reliable, observable systems.

The certification is offered by the DevOps Institute, which partners with PeopleCert for exam delivery. The course and exam are aligned to the official Observability Foundation Exam Blueprint and Body of Knowledge, so what you learn maps directly to what employers recognise worldwide.

Yes. Observability skills are in strong demand across Poland's IT services, banking, e-commerce and gaming sectors. DevOps and SRE roles commonly pay from around 180,000 zL per year, and a recognised credential helps you stand out in a market focused on mid and senior specialists.

There are no formal prerequisites. The certification is open to all, though familiarity with DevOps concepts or IT operations is helpful. This makes it a strong first step for engineers moving from monitoring into full observability practice.

The credential is valid for three years. You renew it by earning the required Continuing Education Units (CEUs) through DevOps Institute membership and continuing education activities within the three-year cycle.
