    How many questions are on each exam and what is the passing score?

    Each exam has 40 questions and lasts 60 minutes. The passing score is 65% for both, which is 26 out of 40 correct. You must pass both exams to hold both credentials.

    How do the Foundation and Practitioner exams differ?

    Foundation tests knowledge and comprehension of business analysis concepts across 14 topic areas using straightforward multiple-choice questions. Practitioner tests the application and analysis of BA techniques across seven topic areas using scenario-based questions.

    Where can I take the EXIN BCS exams in South Africa?

    You can sit both exams online through EXIN's online proctored system or at an EXIN accredited testing location. Exams are usually arranged through your accredited training provider as part of the combined programme.

    What happens if I do not pass on the first attempt?

    You can re-sit the exam you did not pass by booking a new voucher with EXIN. Our trainers provide focused revision and mock exams to help you prepare, and can guide you on the re-sit process.

    What topics does the business analysis training cover?

    The course covers investigation techniques, requirements engineering, stakeholder analysis, business process modelling with BPMN, strategy analysis, business cases, and the applied Practitioner techniques for identifying and evaluating solutions.

    Can a beginner with no experience take this course?

    Yes. The Foundation level has no prerequisites and starts from core concepts, so beginners are welcome. Trainer-led sessions, case studies and practice questions support you as you progress to the applied Practitioner content.

    Are practice questions and mock exams included?

    Yes. The programme includes practice questions and mock exams for both the Foundation and Practitioner levels, aligned to the exam formats, to help you identify weak areas and build readiness.

    Which standard is the courseware aligned to?

    The courseware is aligned to the EXIN BCS Foundation and Practitioner examination specifications and the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge, developed in partnership with BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.

    Will I receive a certificate of completion?

    Yes. You receive a course completion certificate after meeting the course requirements. On passing each EXIN exam, you also receive the official EXIN digital certificate and badge for that credential.
