What if I do not pass the PMI-RMP exam first time?

How many questions are on the PMI-RMP exam and how long is it?

The PMI-RMP exam has 115 questions and lasts 2.5 hours (150 minutes). It is closed book, with single-answer and multiple-answer multiple-choice questions.

What are the PMI-RMP exam domains and their weights?

Per the Examination Content Outline effective January 2022, there are five domains: Risk Strategy and Planning (20%), Risk Identification (20%), Risk Analysis (23%), Risk Response (22%) and Monitor and Close Risks (15%).

What are the eligibility requirements for the PMI-RMP?

There are three sets. Set A: a secondary diploma, 36 months of project risk management experience within the last five years and 40 hours of risk education. Set B: a bachelor's degree, 24 months of experience and 30 hours of education. Set C: a GAC-accredited degree, 12 months of experience and 30 hours of education.

Where can I take the PMI-RMP exam?

You can sit the exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through PMI's portal or Pearson VUE once your application is approved.

What will I learn in the PMI-RMP training?

You will learn to lead risk across the five domains: setting risk strategy, identifying threats and opportunities, analysing risk qualitatively and quantitatively, planning and implementing responses, and monitoring and closing risks, across predictive, agile and hybrid delivery.

Which standard and edition is the course based on?

The programme is aligned to the current PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline, effective January 2022, and to PMI's Practice Standard for Project Risk Management and the PMBOK Guide. It reflects both predictive and agile or hybrid risk approaches.

Can a beginner to risk management take this course?

The training itself is open to anyone building risk skills, and it delivers structured, hands-on practice. To sit the exam, though, PMI requires dedicated project risk management experience, so check the eligibility sets before you apply.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions and full-length mock exams aligned to the 115-question, closed-book format, plus topic-wise checks to help you find and strengthen weak areas before exam day.

Does this training satisfy the risk education requirement?

The programme provides 32 contact hours of risk management education, which fully satisfies the 30-hour requirement for Set B and Set C applicants. Set A applicants need 40 hours and should add at least eight further hours of risk training.
