    What is the format of the SIAM Professional exam?

    The SIAM-P exam is a closed-book, scenario-based examination. Each question presents a complex organisational scenario with multiple-choice options, and you choose the best course of action, testing application and analysis rather than recall.

    How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 40 scenario-based multiple-choice questions and an allotted time of 90 minutes (1.5 hours).

    What is the passing score for the SIAM-P exam?

    The pass mark is 65%, which means answering 26 of the 40 questions correctly.

    How is the SIAM Professional exam delivered?

    You can sit the exam through EXIN online proctoring or at an EXIN accredited testing location. It is commonly booked via an accredited training provider as part of a training and exam package.

    What topics does the exam cover?

    The exam covers five equally weighted topic areas: Discovery and Strategy, Plan and Build, Implement, Run and Improve, and SIAM Practices Across the Stages, each making up 20% of the exam.

    What if I do not pass the first time?

    You can re-sit the EXIN exam if needed; a re-examination fee applies, which varies by region and channel. Our scenario-based practice and mock exams are designed to build your readiness before exam day. Ask your advisor about re-sit options.
