    How to Get Agile Scrum Foundation Certified in Costa RicaStep-by-Step Certification Process

    The certificate ASF training in Costa Rica follows a straightforward path with no formal prerequisites. Complete accredited training, register through the EXIN candidate portal, schedule the examination, and successfully pass the assessment to earn a lifetime-valid credential. From initial preparation to exam completion, the process typically takes between two and four weeks.

    Step 1: Confirm ASF Readiness

    ASF has no formal prerequisites. Read the latest Scrum Guide before training to maximize learning value. Anyone interested in joining a Scrum team, including project coordinators, business analysts, junior PMs, marketing/operations staff, and developers entering agile, can pursue ASF.

    Step 2: Enrol in the 2-Day ASF Training

    Choose your preferred Invensis Learning ASF cohort (2-Day Live Online Bootcamp, E-Learning, or Corporate Group Training). On enrolment you receive EXIN-aligned ASF courseware, the latest Scrum Guide, scenario walkthroughs, and 40-question scenario mock-exam material.

    Step 3: Register on the EXIN Candidate Portal

    Create or sign in to your EXIN account at exin.com. EXIN registration is free and gives you access to candidate resources, exam scheduling, and digital badge delivery on passing.

    Step 4: Schedule the ASF Exam

    Pay the EXIN ASF exam fee (~$240) and book your exam through the EXIN candidate portal , EXIN online proctored from your home or office in Costa Rica, or at an approved EXIN test center.

    Step 5: Sit the 40-Question ASF Exam

    Sit the 40-question, 90-minute exam. Passing requires 65% (26 out of 40 correct). The exam is closed book and covers Scrum roles, events, artifacts, values, and the agile way of thinking.

    Step 6: Earn the ASF Credential

    On passing, EXIN issues your ASF digital badge and certificate through the EXIN candidate portal. The credential is valid for life with no renewal or PDU requirements. You can progress to EXIN Agile Scrum Master (ASM) or Agile Scrum Product Owner (ASPO) at your own pace.

    What is the format of the EXIN exam?

    The Agile Scrum Foundation exam is closed book with 40 single-answer multiple-choice questions. You have 60 minutes, and it is delivered by EXIN online proctoring or at an accredited test location.

    How many questions are there and what is the pass mark?

    The exam has 40 questions and you must answer at least 26 correctly, a 65% pass mark. Broad understanding across all topic areas is the best way to prepare.
