Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner is a two-level project management credential based on PRINCE2 (PRojects IN Controlled Environments), owned by AXELOS and delivered by PeopleCert. Foundation validates your knowledge of the method; Practitioner proves you can tailor and apply it to real projects. The current standard is the PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023).

    General

What is the PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner certification?

PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner is a two-level project management credential based on PRINCE2 (PRojects IN Controlled Environments), owned by AXELOS and delivered by PeopleCert. Foundation validates your knowledge of the method; Practitioner proves you can tailor and apply it to real projects. The current standard is the PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023).

Who should take PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner training?

The combo course suits aspiring and practising project managers, PMO team members, project coordinators and IT professionals in France who want a recognised method credential. Foundation has no prerequisites, so beginners and experienced delivery staff alike can start with this programme.

    Is PRINCE2 recognised in France?

Yes. PRINCE2 is a globally recognised project management method valued across France, Europe and Commonwealth markets. It is especially favoured in public programmes, IT services, banking, aerospace and infrastructure, where governance, business cases and controlled stages matter.

Is PRINCE2 certification worth it for my career?

For most professionals, yes. PRINCE2 opens roles from chef de projet to PMO and programme management, where French salaries range from around €55,000 for project managers to €80,000 and above for programme directors. It signals to employers that you can govern and deliver projects with a proven method.

How long is the PRINCE2 certification valid?

Both PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner are valid for three years. Foundation is renewed by earning 60 CPD points per cycle, while Practitioner can be renewed by retaking the exam, completing CPD via a MyAxelos subscription, or passing a higher PRINCE2 qualification.

    Pricing

What is included in the PRINCE2 course fee?

The training fee typically includes PeopleCert-aligned courseware, instructor-led sessions, practice questions, mock exams for both levels, learner support and a course completion certificate. Ask a learning advisor for a quote covering your preferred format.

How much does PRINCE2 training cost in France?

Training prices vary by format and provider, so a tailored quote is best. Live online and classroom options differ in price, and corporate group rates apply for teams. Request a quote for current pricing in euros.

Is the exam fee included in the training price?

Exam voucher inclusion depends on the package you choose. PeopleCert sets the Foundation and Practitioner exam fees, which vary by region and channel. Confirm with a learning advisor whether your package bundles both exam vouchers.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts for PRINCE2 training?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for teams, departments and PMOs across France. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

What payment methods and instalment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the PRINCE2 exams?

The Foundation exam is closed book with single-answer multiple-choice questions and tests your knowledge of PRINCE2. The Practitioner exam is open book, scenario-based, and tests your ability to apply and tailor the method. Both are based on the PRINCE2 7 syllabus.

How many questions are on each PRINCE2 exam?

The Foundation exam has 60 questions to be completed in 60 minutes. The Practitioner exam has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks, to be completed in 150 minutes with the PRINCE2 manual permitted.

What is the passing score for the PRINCE2 exams?

Both exams require 60% to pass. That is 36 out of 60 questions correct for Foundation, and 42 out of 70 marks for Practitioner. Focus on broad understanding of the principles, practices and processes across the syllabus.

What if I do not pass a PRINCE2 exam the first time?

You can resit the exam through PeopleCert. Our training includes mock exams, practice questions and exam technique for both levels to give you the best chance of passing first time, and our team can guide you on rebooking if needed.

Where can I take the PRINCE2 exams?

You can sit both exams online through PeopleCert's OnVUE proctored system, available 24/7, or at a PeopleCert authorised test centre. Exams are typically arranged as part of your combined training and dual-exam package.

    Course Content

Do I need prior experience to take this course?

No. PRINCE2 Foundation has no prerequisites, so beginners are welcome. The combined programme builds from foundational knowledge to applied practice, and our trainers support you through both levels, so prior project experience is helpful but not required.

What topics are covered in the PRINCE2 training?

The training covers the seven PRINCE2 principles, the People element, the seven practices (Business Case, Organizing, Plans, Quality, Risk, Issues and Progress) and the seven processes, plus tailoring and exam preparation for both the Foundation and Practitioner levels.

What learning resources and materials are provided?

You receive PeopleCert-aligned courseware, practice questions, full-length mock exams for both levels, revision aids and learner support. These resources help you build knowledge, apply the method and prepare for exam day.

Are there practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions and mock exams mapped to both the closed-book Foundation format and the open-book, scenario-based Practitioner format, so you can identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

Which edition of PRINCE2 does the training cover?

The training is aligned to the PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023) and the current PRINCE2 7 Foundation and Practitioner syllabuses. PRINCE2 7 introduced the People element, renamed Themes to Practices, and integrated agile and sustainability considerations.

    Enrollment

How soon can I start and how do I enrol?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website and choose an upcoming batch that suits you. Select your format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and resources. Talk to a learning advisor to see the next available dates.

    What training formats are available?

We offer online (live virtual) instructor-led training, classroom training, and customised corporate group training. Choose the format that fits your schedule and learning style across France.

What are the prerequisites to enrol in PRINCE2 training?

There are no prerequisites to enrol. To sit the Practitioner exam you need PRINCE2 Foundation, which this combined programme includes, or an accepted equivalent such as PMP, CAPM or IPMA. The training prepares you for both levels.

Can I reschedule or transfer to another batch?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or transfer to another batch on selected plans. Contact our support team to arrange a change that works for you.

What is the refund or cancellation policy?

Refunds and cancellations are handled per our published policy, and selected plans include a money-back option. Reach out to our team for the details that apply to your enrolment.
