Why Change Management Talent Is in Demand in Guatemala

    Adoption Gap on Digital Projects

Guatemalan banks, telecoms and BPOs invest heavily in new systems, but many changes stall at adoption. Certified change managers close the gap between go-live and real, sustained use.

Change management closes the adoption gap

    Rapid BPO and Nearshore Growth

With the BPO sector employing 55,000+ people and growing double digits, providers restructure teams constantly and need practitioners who can guide people through repeated change.

Practitioners lead people through constant change

    Regulatory and Restructuring Pressure

Banks and insurers face steady regulatory and organisational change. Structured change practice keeps restructuring on track while protecting employee engagement and trust.

    Structured change practice protects delivery

    Change and OD Talent Scarcity

Guatemala has a deep project-management pool but few credentialed change professionals, so CMBoK-aligned practitioners with a recognised qualification stand out to employers.

A recognised credential makes you stand out

    Culture Change in Large Groups

Conglomerates and consumer groups run culture and values programmes across thousands of staff, demanding proven models such as ADKAR and Kotter to embed new behaviours.

    Proven models embed new behaviours

    Resistance and Change Fatigue

Frequent transformation leaves teams fatigued and resistant. Trained change managers diagnose the causes of resistance and design interventions that make change stick.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes CMBoK-aligned courseware, case studies, mock exams and practice questions for both levels, learner support and a course completion certificate. Exam vouchers may be included; confirm current inclusions when you enquire.

Are the exam fees included in the training price?

Exam voucher inclusion varies by package and region. Some packages bundle both the Foundation and Practitioner exam vouchers, while others price them separately. Ask a learning advisor for the exact inclusions before you enrol.

    Exam

How many exams are there in the combined programme?

There are two separate exams. You sit the Foundation exam first, then the Practitioner exam, and you must pass both to hold both credentials. The combined 40-hour programme prepares you for each.

What is the format of the Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam is closed book with 50 multiple-choice questions to complete in 40 minutes. The pass mark is 50%, which is 25 out of 50 correct. It tests knowledge and comprehension across the five change management topic areas.

What is the format of the Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam is open book and scenario based, with five sections each worth 16 marks, for 80 marks in total, over 2.5 hours. The pass mark is 50%, which is 40 out of 80 marks. It tests your ability to apply change models under real conditions.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

You may use the Change Management Practitioner Guide during the Practitioner exam. The scenario questions still require analysis and judgment, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient navigation of the guide and deep method knowledge both matter.

What if I do not pass an exam on the first attempt?

You can re-sit the exam you did not pass. Our trainers provide first-attempt guidance, mock exams and practice questions to prepare you thoroughly for both levels. Ask about re-sit options and support when you enrol.

Which standard is the exam based on?

Both exams are based on the current Change Management Foundation and Practitioner syllabi, aligned to the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) from the Change Management Institute and the current Change Management Practitioner Guide.

Which edition or standard is the courseware aligned to?

The courseware is aligned to the current Change Management Foundation and Practitioner Exam Syllabi and the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK), with the current Change Management Practitioner Guide as the primary reference for the open-book Practitioner exam.

Are practice tests and materials included?

Will I receive a certificate after the training?

Yes. You receive a course completion certificate after the programme. On passing each exam you also receive the official Change Management Foundation and Change Management Practitioner digital certificates.

    Enrollment

Who can enrol in the course?

Anyone can enrol. There are no prerequisites for the Foundation level, and the combined programme takes you through to the Practitioner level, which requires the Foundation certificate before you sit its exam.

How do I enrol in the programme?
