How is my progress checked during the course?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, you apply each concept through practical exercises, such as building a pipeline, writing a CloudFormation template and deploying a container, so you leave able to do the work.

What will I be able to do after the training?

You will be able to create repositories in CodeCommit, build pipelines with CodeBuild and CodePipeline, automate deployments with CodeDeploy, write CloudFormation and CDK infrastructure, deploy to ECS and EKS, and set up CloudWatch monitoring with DevSecOps controls.

Course Content

What topics are covered in AWS DevOps Training?

The programme covers six areas: DevOps and the AWS ecosystem, source control and CI with CodeCommit and CodeBuild, continuous delivery with CodeDeploy and CodePipeline, infrastructure as code with CloudFormation and AWS CDK, containers with ECS and EKS, and monitoring, DevSecOps and continuous improvement.

How long is the training?

The course runs for a total of 8 hours, delivered as a full day or across two half-days depending on the schedule. Hands-on AWS exercises run throughout so you practise every tool as you go.

Can a beginner keep up with the content?

Yes. The course introduces every AWS DevOps service from first principles, so beginners can follow along. A basic grasp of AWS and the command line helps, but the trainer guides you through each hands-on exercise.

Does the course cover containers and Kubernetes on AWS?

Yes. You learn to build Docker images, store them in Amazon ECR, and deploy workloads on Amazon ECS and Amazon EKS, including Fargate, auto-scaling and blue/green deployment patterns for containerised applications.

Do I need an AWS account for the training?

You should have access to an AWS account, free tier or paid, for the hands-on exercises. Check with us whether a shared training environment is provided or whether you should set up your own account before the session.
