    Is there an exam for this Lean course?

    No. Lean Manufacturing training is a non-certification course with no exam. Learning is reinforced through hands-on waste-identification, VSM, 5S and OEE exercises and case discussion during the programme.

    Do I get a certificate after the training?

    Yes. You receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning. No external credential is awarded, as this is a practical skills course rather than an exam-based programme.

    How am I assessed during the course?

    There is no formal assessment. Instead, you apply Lean tools through practical exercises such as a waste walk, value stream mapping, a 5S review and an OEE calculation, so you practise the skills as you learn them.

    Does the completion certificate expire?

    No. The skills you gain do not expire and need no renewal. You can apply Lean tools to production improvement immediately and keep using them throughout your career.

    Will the training prepare me to apply Lean at work?

    Yes. The whole course is built around practical application, so by the end you can run waste walks, build value stream maps, set up 5S and kanban, and lead Kaizen on your own shop floor.

    The programme covers the Toyota Production System and five Lean principles, the eight wastes (DOWNTIME), value stream mapping, 5S and visual management, pull systems and kanban, JIT, TPM and OEE, standard work, SMED, Heijunka, Poka Yoke and Kaizen.

    How long is the Lean Manufacturing course?

    The course runs for one day (eight hours), covering all six Lean modules with concept explanations, manufacturing case examples and hands-on tool exercises throughout. A half-day over two days option is also available.

    Are there hands-on exercises?

    Yes. You take part in a waste walk, value stream data collection, a 5S workplace assessment, an OEE calculation and a kanban sizing exercise, applying each Lean tool to realistic production scenarios.

    What learning materials are provided?

    You receive structured courseware covering the full Lean tool set, plus exercises, reference material and practical templates you can use on your own lines after the training.

    Which Lean framework is the course based on?

    The training is grounded in the Toyota Production System developed by Taiichi Ohno and Shigeo Shingo, and the modern Lean body of knowledge popularised by Womack and Jones. It is vendor-neutral and tool-focused.
