What is the format of the Observability Foundation exam?

The OBSF exam has 40 single-answer multiple-choice questions to be completed in 60 minutes. It is an open-book exam based on the DevOps Institute Observability Foundation Exam Blueprint (Body of Knowledge).

What is the passing score for the OBSF exam?

The passing score is 65%, which means you must answer at least 26 of the 40 questions correctly. Our mock exams and practice questions are built around this format to help you prepare.

How and where do I take the exam?

The exam is delivered online and proctored via PeopleCert OnVUE, or you can sit it at an authorised test centre. You can take it from home or office in Israel with a stable connection and a suitable environment.

How long is the Observability Foundation training?

The instructor-led programme runs for 16 hours, typically delivered over two full days or four half-days depending on the schedule. It covers all exam topic areas and prepares you for the 40-question, open-book exam.
